Can't get down there midweek and that's the same week both my college age boys are coming home and need parental help getting home. Bright side is I'll be home from Annapolis with the middle guy in time to watch the game at my own personal watch party. Looking forward to it!

you can rest easy as I don’t remember any coffee joints when I was there, but if you or anyone else going to the game likes seafood, and in particular oysters, there was one place that you had to visit if you were visiting Mobile

Wentzell’s Oyster House

It was one of those old traditional restaurants that looked like it was built 100 years ago, but that was almost 40 years ago.

It was closer to downtown and just off Government Boulevard, a quick search on it looks like it has chained out now. Hopefully it hasn’t become like Grotto pizza, once one of those iconic locations on Rehoboth Beach serving up great pizza that has has become a place only an unknowing tourists would go

Appreciate the food tip! We will be in and out of Mobile pretty fast due to the mid-week nature of the game but will share that with others who we know are traveling.

Yes, unfortunately with all the activities the day before and on game day, we don’t expect to get to try too much of the local fare. Oysters would be awesome …… but no time probably.

The two of us are on United by way of Houston. It will be a whirlwind 2 days, but expect a ton of fun.
