St Joes lost at home 14-10 to West Chester last week.
How bad is the A10? St Joes sits 14-1 in conference.

Why in the series finale (UD lost 6-9) vs. Mo. St. on Sunday was there no video review of the play at the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning where Cockrill was called out by the Ump as he slid into home for the second out of the inning. The replays on ESPN+ appeared to me to show that Cockrill was under the catcher's tag and had touched the plate before the tag was applied. Yet no challenge by UD coaches and no review by the Ups. Immeiditaly after that play 2 out and 2 on why did Matt Minckler (.183 avg.) pinch hit for Jeremy Wolf (.239)? Minckler struck out looking.

Its just bad coaching all around ...we cant hit and we walk way to many.

At this point, this season is trash & we need to make changes. Drastic change like Mams wont happen but similar to basketball I can see then getting a new pitching coach or recruiting coordinator or both.

Today, the Hens defeated Del State. If you think the Hens are having a tough season, check out the box score today from Coppin State vs. Lehigh.

Coppin State Pitchers walked 25 batters and hit 9 - On a positive note, they only yielded 12 hits.

Losing streak snapped last night; solid outing from Reyes last night. Shaub got rocked and only last 1/3 of an inning.

As Info said on another thread, good article today in the NJ on the program. Sounds like pitching has dealt with a ton of injuries again, as Mamula said he thought pitching would be a strength but they’ve had games where “we’re just trying to get through.” Also confirms UD only has 12 scholarships.

Lopsided loss tonight at Middle Tennessee. Our clean up hitter, Vincent Davis, is once again not in the lineup. Is he out for the year? Also, weekend starter Marose did not pitch last week. Is he injured too?

UD was trailing 1-8 entering 9th inning. UD scored 6 runs in the top of the ninth after 2 outs with Bouldin's grand slam the big blow. UD had a runner on first and an MTSU reliever throwing 97 mph fastballs got Burroughs to ground out to 3B for the final out. UD starter Pugh pitched first 4 innings giving up 7 earned runs on 9 hits (including 4 doubles & 2 HRs) and only 2 Walks (no Hit Batters or Wild Pitches). Andrew Callaway took a tough loss, pitching four innings (no walks, no hit batters, & no wild pitches) on 2 hits, a double and what proved to be the winning HR in the bottom of the eighth.

Swept in Murfreesboro. Lost 8-7 Friday, 4-3 Saturday & 4-0 Sunday. Only two walks Friday, Saturday but 7 on Sunday. Friday & Saturday they used two pitchers each game & Sunday they used 5. Billotto and Moyzon got hit around a little Sunday. Next up St Johns mid-week and then a weekend in the Lynchburg mountains.

Lets hope Tyler August just shows & shuts the Hens down. Tyler had a good game against DBU...3 innings, 1 hit and no runs with 6ks

Openly rooting against the team you say you root for is certainly a new one on the board. Now that’s the spirit!

UDFootballFan, Tyler August had no loyalty to UD (leaving after his terrible 1st year) so why do you have loyalty to him?
