UD Profit $ from 2025 Season?
I would really like to know UD's total profit dollars from the FB 2025 season with & without the bowl game.

Bill, you can’t honestly expect anyone on this board to know that.

I would really like to know if Elizabeth Hurley has a secret crush on me.

Call Jordan up, I'm sure that's info he would be happy to share.BlueHenBill wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 6:59 pm I would really like to know UD's total profit dollars from the FB 2025 season with & without the bowl game.

It’s quaint you think any UD sport turns a profit.

Re: UD Profit $ from 2025 Season?
Until AD Muir arrived at UD, UD fans were told for many ears that (unlike its rivals who had to prostitute their FB teams that were almost always grossly overmatched at away games against power teams because they needed the money) UD made a profit on FB and did't need the money primarily because of the revenue from great attendance at usually 6-7 (sometimes
home games per season. Shortly after AD Muir's arrival he told us all that it was a lie (or maybe creative bookkeeping) and that UD FB never made a profit. Now UD has one FBS season under its belt where UD received large guarantees by playing at Colorado & Wake Forest, received a portion of CUSA revenues from TV, etc., had increased attendance compared to the many intervening seasons between the seat donation fiasco and 2024, and played in a bowl game where it received bowl revenue So excluding NIL $ payments, it seem reasonable to ask did UD FB's revenue both without & with the bowl game earn revenues that exceeded its expenses? Did UD FB break even when factoring in NIL $ disbursements to its FB players? If I ever get a chance to speak with AD Skolnick, I will ask him. in the interim, does anyone here have an insights into these matters that they are able & willing to share?

How much profit does the English department turn? How about the Business School? And yet Delaware has somehow amassed a couple billion and hundreds of millions in land holdings. The old adage: “you’ve got to spend money to make money” is certainly true in higher education. They wouldn’t be involved in Division I athletics if it wasn’t financially worth their while, no matter how the EADA reports read.

Bill…Jordan is at every game, and I do mean EVERY game, and I’ve always found him to be approachable and forthcoming. Not sure whether he’ll answer your question with specific details, but you may be surprised with how open and transparent he is. I’ve had a chance to chat with him probably close to a dozen times now over the past year and he has always been very approachable and more than cordial. I’m sure some of that is because he’s trying to get even more money out of me, but that is a big part of his job after all…
I think if you speak with him you’ll come away feeling good about the prospects for the future with Jordan at the helm.

finpxz1, I have spoken to Jordan but not in a long time. Jordan might be at "every game", but I am not. Please note that depending on traffic I live 1-1/2 hours or so by car north of UD. I am getting up there in years and (with the exception of FB (though I no longer go to Away FB games unless they are close) I would rather stay at home and watch UD on live video than drive down to UD during rush hour, at night, and or in cold/inclement weather. I envy the fans that live relatively close to UD. I have been at every Home FB game forever without an opportunity to speak to Jordan. Although I sill have my Men's BasketbalI season tickets, i haven't been to a single game the past two seasons for a variety of reasons, mostly unrelated to the team's performance. I also used to make every Home & local Away game for Men's Lax & Baseball. I haven't been to a Men's Lax game since 2024 and I only made a few early season Baseball games in 2025 and have yet to attend this season for a variety of reasons. Further, I would not want to intrude on Jordan durng any game to discuss UD Athletic financiais. After all both Jordan and I would be there to watch the game. Before or after a game would be a different story.finpxz1 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 5:10 am Bill…Jordan is at every game, and I do mean EVERY game, and I’ve always found him to be approachable and forthcoming. Jordan is at UD athletic events to WORK. That is his job. He isn't there as a regular fan.
Building relationships with UD fans is a very big part of Jordan's job.
"Sorry to disturb you at work" is one of the greatest lines ever uttered on a phone call to the Preston and Steve show.
Pure genius...Hall of Fame material...and it is in regular use by callers.
If you see Jordan during a game, let him know you want to discuss something and he'll find time at the event (haltime, time outs, between periods, whatever works, depending on the question) or at a different time of your choosing.
Of course, mind your manners regarding the other folks around you...the regular fan doesn't want you standing up in the middle of the isle shouting questions down the line.
But, feel free to snag him between periods, during halftime, etc.
