Jake Giusti has been a topic of discussion on the GoHens.net website since he was injured during the National Championship Game, January 7, 2011, in Frisco, Texas. Many have wondered when he would get back on the field. Most people have projected that he would miss the entire 2011 season. Well, I had the opportunity to get the facts directly from Jake himself. I hope you enjoy getting to know Jake a little better.

I had a chance to speak with several players and coaches at Media Day and found them all to be very approachable and willing to talk.

The following is a follow-up to the initial notes I posted after attending KC's press conference on Signing Day and the Huddle that same evening. These questions and answers were not necessarily reported in other media, but I thought they would be of interest to the fans on this board.

[Our second blog is from senior wide receiver, Mark Mackey. Mark was recruited by Delaware in 2006 from Central Dauphin High School. where he was a two-year starter. He played in the PA East-West All-Star game and was nominated for the Big-33 game. Mark also enjoyed basketball for all 4 years at Central Dauphin (starting in 3). At Delaware, Mark was a backup receiver in both his first two years (2006-2007), catching a TD pass against Rhode Island in his true sophomre campaign. He sat out 2008 and received a medical redshirt preserving Junior eligibility for the 2009 season where he caught his 2nd career TD against UMass. Mark has played in 34 games for the Blue Hens, receiving 46 passes for a total of 519 yards and 2 TDs. Here's his blog...]

Our first blog is from Senior Defensive Tackle, Siddiq Haynes who was recruitted by Delaware in 2006 from C.E. Jordan High School in Durham, NC. Siddiq was a gray-shirt recruit, meaning that he did not enroll at Delaware until the Spring of 2007. As a starter last season, Siddiq has developed into a team leader on the Blue Hen defense and is our most experienced lineman going into the 2010 season.
