Seems like a worthy get… hopefully if she contributes this year, it’s not just a one and done for her .

she's a late edition in signing. I can't seem to find any other college offers before her signing on with us! Question mark?? She's multiple sport and that's a plus. In limited bball video, actually not overwhelming, somewhat mechanical, frail, but hustles well and a team player who produced v instate competition?
good to view the roster filling out

Cape went 16-2 versus in state competition losing to perennial power house Ursuline twice, once in the regular season and again in the State Tournament.

She also produced against non Delaware teams:
They were 2-1 versus out of state schools beating Haverford HS (PA) and Stephen Decatur (MD). They lost to Family Academy (NY).

possibly enlightening to u sir:
1) thanks for steering me towards a new acronym- learning never ends :D COM=just created on the spot= come on man
2) frail- maybe a definition would help though I'm sure u know the meaning. This physical issue will translate into getting pushed around under the boards at the college level. Additionally, injury concerns and recovery are unfortunately associated when frail(not sickly in the medical sense)- just prone to lost PT. I might have utilized thin or slender, but frail "on the court" was my reaction to her videos.
3) I assume these concerns(possibly others) are the basis for no other offers.

I'm quite pleased to view instate players signing with our university in any sports. Possibly weight training and nutritional improvements at UD can be beneficial for her. coaching to avoid contact near the bucket also. Thin athletes often often receive positive whistles from the refs against aggressive larger opponents. Finally, I hope my present concerns will diminish, and she will be a positive UD addition in the future.

BTW- can someone provide the specific ladies on our team who received scholarships? We'll then know who are walkons.

Seen her play and in my mind, no need for the criticism. Nice pickup, try and embrace that

Amelia is an Italian name...therefor, tenn's odd light bulb moment should have used the term, "Fra-Gee-Lay."
Dash to the South, closing the Door behind. Another one bites the dust.

Nothing to see here...

But, UD remains the best football team in Delaware!!

Hey Henny,
This poster from Tennessee loves to “enlighten” both of us. The condescension is just dripping from his posts. Maybe we should take heed of his “vastly superior” knowledge! LMFAO

Edit: BTW Tenn, typically when the University announces a player via the website and/ or on social media that player is receiving scholarship money.

HAHaHa!

Definition of Frail and maybe I learned a different version of English.

frail
adjective
uk /freɪl/ us /freɪl/
Add to word list
C2
weak or unhealthy, or easily damaged, broken, or harmed:

No amount of keyboard activity will change the above.

u fellas might research the history of skinny(fragile) players-there's lots available online so due diligence might be helpful as well as our own computer brains filled with facts based on acquired data . For example close to home, you might recall a banged up Houston Emory entering the court taped all over and bruised. He accepted his unwanted role at #5 which severely limited his 4 years here. Most players today would have transferred out. I respect and admire Houston's willingness to sacrifice for the good of his team and hope his future will be rewarding.

FYI- USA v Senegal at 3:30 TBS. It's the last shot for many of you who don't follow soccer to gain a feeling for our squad. on 6/11, Mexico and Canada play followed by us on the 12th v Paraguay. Time to rock and roll!

checked to look for a response? so I dug a bit harder and found a Cape game v Caesar Rodney(unimpressed) on maxpreps.com and a bit longer one of the Ursuline game than I previously viewed. I was more impressed with her movement, control while shooting, blocking out in the CR game. She might turn out to be a plus(hope so) at a #3/4 for us, but I'd still go back to my OPINION(not facts) and concern with the lack of college offers

She won state player of the year, averaging 21 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. If you want to nit pick, I guess that’s fine for you. Calling her “frail” is just one of the most ridiculous things I've heard.
