Kachi Nzeh Transfer

Post by Udforever1 »

6’8 forward from Little Rock. Started every game for them last year, putting up 11.7 PPG. Has been at Penn State and Xavier as well.

Interesting player. Got some length and shot the 3 well this year after it looking like it wasn't part of his game at Xavier and Penn State. Looks to be just a serviceable rebounder despite being 6-8.

FUN FACT: He was on the Xavier team that lost to UD a couple of years ago.

Solid add IMO. Mutts type build. Career 50% from field and 42% from 3

If Solano can be effective, the frontcourt has had a big upgrade with Solano, Nzeh and Alvin

Highlights
FR w/ Xavier

13 pts , 6 boards at Georgetown
8 pts 2 blocks at Seton Hall
6 pts, 5 boards, 2 blocks vs Georgia in NIT

SO w/ Penn St
8 pts 3 boards at Michigan
8 pts vs VTech

JR w/ Little Rock
30 pts, 5 boards, 4 blocks vs Arkansas St
21 pts 4 boards, 2 blocks vs Southern Indiana
13 pts 7 boards, 3 blocks vs Western Illinois

Exactly what we needed in the post!!! I love this pickup. I’m very happy with what MI and the staff have done this off-season. Assuming we don’t get hit with the usual UD Hoops curse, this group on paper should be able to compete very well in the CUSA next season. Let’s just hope and pray we’ve got everyone healthy and ready to go in the fall.

These are not the typical recruits Delaware gets. Im impressed

These guys have some serious pedigree

Nazeh rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Pennsylvania by 247Sports, was named the 2022-23 Philadelphia Sports Digest Non-PIAA Player of the Year, and earned First Team accolades

Harris-Smith was named the Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year, Naismith High School All-American, WCAC Player of the Year, All-MET Player of the Year, two-time VISAA Player of the Year, and Max Preps Virginia Player of the Year

Petronio Class A All-NEPSAC selection and one of the top shooters in the country, connecting on nearly 44-percent throughout the Nike EYBL circuits in 2022.

Solano was a 2024 McDonald's All-American nominee and was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals.com

Agree with Gonzo's view of this class. I remember MI commenting about opposing teams having "men" on the court and I believe he was referring to their size and strength and the comparative lack thereof on UD's roster. This group of recruits seemingly moves that needle in a positive direction.

Per Tresolini, sounds like West Virginia and Seton Hall were both involved with Nzeh as well. Imagine we offered a starters role/mins where as he would be a depth piece for them . Either way, looks to be a really impactful addition

there are various synonyms for that particular adjective. Most imply something quite significant/profound/consequential, etc. I hope Dave is correct. As a fan during all the unimpactful MI years, I pray we won't be disappointed again.
