Re: Njoku??
Man, you guys are obsessed with this nonsense! Who really cares at this point. They are never going to play for Delaware so does it really matter if they are on the roster are not? If you are so desperate to know, the team puts out a tweet noting who’s unavailable an hour before the game. If you see their name listed then they’re still on the team.
GO BIG BLUE!
Re: Njoku??
The easily accessible "availability report" does not indicate WHY a specific player is unavailable and, particularly this year, that would explain a lot. Don't UD fans who spend money in support of the MBB program deserve an explanation of how and/or why this season has gone downhill in such an embarrassing way? It is unfair to both the players who show up and battle every game as well as the coaching staff for anyone to evaluate this season without acknowledging all of the developments that have affected this team. If you want to label something as "nonsense", that would be it. Just saying.hoopster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 10:16 pm Man, you guys are obsessed with this nonsense! Who really cares at this point. Re: Njoku??
IF Njokur and Reilly both have decided not to play, safe to say this might be the biggest let down by players at UD.
Andrew Carr leaving on the heels of a NCAA dance plus Nelson and Davis returning and his father and Uncle both former UD players was disappointing but that’s nothing compared to this, if that is what’s happening.
Reilly coming back to finish his career at UD and Njoku finally coming home. This was not on my bingo card at the start of the season.
I’ve missed more home games this year than I have over the last 15 years as well as seen less big time games on TV. Ive come around to the new college basketball with roster turnover each year but players sitting out while keeping their scholarship and evidently getting paid has killed my interest
With all that said, if they both are truly hurt and can’t play, then fine but it doesn’t sound that way

Re: Njoku??
What's the likelihood that it's MIs call to hold them out for another year of eligibility? Begs the question WHY? But this sure seems strange.

Not a chance, IMHO.VIKING '87 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 5:17 pm What's the likelihood that it's MIs call to hold them out for another year of eligibility? Begs the question WHY? But this sure seems strange.
Re: Njoku??
He’s clearly annoyed that “some players have chosen not to play”. Those were MI’s words during a recent on air interview. There is no way he encouraged these guys to sit out…especially since it could end up costing him his job. Just a really unfortunate and disappointing season. And now you have to think Bliss will be one and done with the Hens. Really feels like it’s time for a total reboot of the program.

Like Ive said before, if they are choosing not to play, cut them and take their scholarship away, take away all the adidas gear etcfinpxz1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 7:46 pm He’s clearly annoyed that “some players have chosen not to play”. Re: Njoku??
College sports need to change the player contracts so the compensation is withheld, if the player receives medical clearance & refuses to play (claw back).UDFootballFan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 3:08 pmLike Ive said before, if they are choosing not to play, cut them and take their scholarship away, take away all the adidas gear etcfinpxz1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 7:46 pm He’s clearly annoyed that “some players have chosen not to play”. I was shocked to hear (rumors of course) some of the $$$ UD basketball & football players were being paid (6 + figures )... That said, until the Numbers are released by the coaches &/or players disclose the numbers, they are nothing buy unsubstantiated RUMORS.

If Njoku is indeed suspended, I think he beats out Vohn Hunter for the most over hyped/disappointing recruit in Blue Hen history

According to KT, Njoku is no longer with the team.
