Hey Brody. Hens still #5. You related to FIU Jake? Way to keep the faith. All kidding aside, thanks to you, Bryce and Dan for the podcast.

Final Regular Season Game Week Podcast is out. Thankful for all of you this holiday season who listened this fall and for the positive and constructive feedback in our first full football season doing this. We will continue shows throughout the winter and spring. They may come more on a bi-weekly basis, and we are still working out how we will want to do segments, but we will always have a sliver of football in each show:

I saw it posted in another thread, but if you only check here. Our final regular season recap show is out. I am very glad that it isn’t our final 2025 recap show. One of my favorite interviews we’ve done all season with QB1 Nick Minicucci.

Great interview with Nick guys, well done. it's Not often you hear a QB say that we had been relying on the pass too much.

Also, great job with the bowl tracker, what a fun way to end the regular season.

The discussion touched on the OL and Nick said that Fintan Brose would be gone but the rest of the OL would remain in tact. But we saw Patrick Shupp do the walk on Senior Day and the bluenhens.com roster shows him as a Gr. student. It would be nice if Shupp remained as part of the OL but all the data say he has completed his NCAA career. In any case, a lot of the OL will be there and that should make the QB happy.

Was tough to hear and I’ll have to go back to listen, but I thought I heard KT ask Carty during the press conference today if Brose, Shupp and Synder were done and Carty said yes. Thomas Chernasky also walked during senior day.

I think Nick maybe just missed him in this part. Shupp missed some games this year with injuries, so we had 6 guys shift across the 5 spots. As Udforever1 stated, all of Brose, Shupp, and Snyder will be out of eligibility.

@UDHoops … I enjoyed your appearance on the “Behind Enemy Lines” podcast with the Ragin Review guys, but man, you have to study up on the Blue Hen origin story. "Meanest chicken in the coop"... that was brutal.

Ooof.

Love the podcasts, but yeah, Bryce needs to learn the history behind the Fightin’ Blue Hens. That question is going to come up every time we play a new team and if he is representing UD, he should know the story.

Just Google “Fightin’ Blue Hens mascot history” and there are plenty of sites, including UD’s, that provide our history.
