Athletic Director
Rawak taking the USA swimming CEO job. Doesn’t feel like a great time to be without an AD. Who will be next?

Re: Athletic Director
Looks like we posted at the same time so I’ll move mine here.
Named CEO of USA swimming. Appreciate all she did for UD.
Skolnick Interim AD. We should be a very attractive place for AD candidates, but don’t think we could go wrong with Jordan being the permanent either.

We knew this day would come, but Jordan knows the job and is well able to carry on for us.

Re: Athletic Director
Sad to see her go but she def left UD athletics in a much better place. Honestly, she lasted longer than I thought she would. I was thinking 3-5 years max she would have been here.
Thank you for everything Ms. Rawak.

Re: Athletic Director
Chrissi did a fantastic job of bringing UD Athletics into the 21st century. Kudos for her breaking down UD’s entrenched resistance to progress. She has left UD in a far better place than it was on her arrival.
Congrats to her on her new position…she always loved discussing swimming and it is good to see her go back to her roots. Best wishes to her in her new role.

Re: Athletic Director
Good for her. Pretty cool job with probably less pressure. She is getting out of college athletics at a good time. Probably got a raise too.

Re: Athletic Director
Colorado Springs, I would imagine, is a pretty good landing spot as well!

Re: Athletic Director
Sucks for us but very happy for Chrissi. She was a true leader who took UD to unprecedented territory. Wishing her continued success. The timing is definitely a challenge for the University, but the pending move to CUSA certainly makes an already attractive job even more so. I would assume it also makes MI’s job status even more tenuous.

Re: Athletic Director
There better be. Skolnick may be able to handle the job, but we don't just need a person to handle the job, but to take what chrissi did and launch!
Re: Athletic Director
Definitely the time to roll and expand the momentum. Get the best person we can find...period.Baltimore Hen wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:51 pmThere better be. Skolnick may be able to handle the job, but we don't just need a person to handle the job, but to take what chrissi did and launch!

Re: Athletic Director
Happy for Rawak as it seems like she’s going back to her roots but a sad day for Delaware athletics. The best AD the school has ever had, she had the guts that no previous administrator had, moving up to FBS. Appreciate all she did and I wish she would stay. I hope she plays a part in naming her successor, need someone with just as much ambition as her. And nothing against the interim AD but like others have stated, I hope it’s a national search to find the best possible candidate. The school cannot settle for mediocrity in this time of transition. If the interim AD turns out to be the best fit after an extensive, national search then fine, but he should not be immediately named permanent AD.

Re: Athletic Director
Replacing Chrissi won't be EZ.
Re: Athletic Director
Whoever comes in better hit the ground running. GUSA transition, a replacement for Rolf, finding homes for any non=CUSA athletic teams, stadium enhancements, et al.
Re: Athletic Director
Yes, get the best candidate possible. Should be a great opportunity for a talented person out there somewhere.Cluck U wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:22 pmDefinitely the time to roll and expand the momentum. Good luck to Chrissi. She made a difference for the better at UD.
