Agree. Student turn on is pretty pathetic. I don’t know what they need to do to turn it around or if they’re even trying it’s not winter session so that’s not an excuse. Thank goodness The band has some decent size to it and makes some noise. It’s fairly embarrassing how empty our arena is. Maybe 6:30 pm starts wont help with that either.

Wow. I definitely would have taken RMU after what I saw Monday night in person.

Look's a little empty on Flo broadcast
Very small. I think 1,400 is being generous.

I doubt there was half of that number there tonight - and that is including the band! Student body support is pitiful.

The Free Throw Shooting at 26-32 (81.3 percent ) was the difference. RM was 14-22. Good to get a W

Nice win last night…unlike the Bucknell game we were able to keep making plays through the end of the game, hitting some key baskets and free throws late to secure the win. And while Timko and Camden were off, Lane, Middleton and a few others were able to step up. This team does appear to have some nice depth that could help once we get to conference play.

I was super impressed with Houston Emory last night. He really looks like he may be able to provide some much needed support in the post. He played some nice interior defense, and his block on their big in the final minute or so was huge. MI even went offense/defense with Camden and Houston towards the last few minutes which was super effective. As I mentioned in a previous post, it looked like Moss got zero time. Really hoping that was more of a precaution to help work him in slowly after getting back from his knee injury and not a sign of something else.

Anyhow, it was a little shaky at times but always good to walk away with a W. I suspect we will continue to have some inconsistency while we learn to play together and better understand roles, but keeping fingers crossed that we are able to get there in time for CAA play. And we really need to get more people out for these games…and it’s not just the students. Let’s all come out to support the team!

That was a nice win, and very enjoyable to attend in person. The pep band and spirit squads are worth the price of admission by themselves. The team showed guts in the second half and down the stretch, which we needed to see.
This is almost a whole new team, which will only get better as they play more together.

A win is a win and I will gladly take it. Especially nice to see such clutch shooting the the free-throw line. However, the defense still needs to improve significantly. A team can have a game when the shooting is off, but playing defense should be more of a constant and less susceptable to having bad games. Hope that the coaching staff can address that issue by giving the better defenders more minutes. Just saying.

As the above poster put, a win is a win but we really need to lock down more on D especially as we will face way stronger teams than RMU. Overall though liked our toughness and have faith we will continue to improve as the season goes along. Next up is a tough one against Iona!
