I wonder if SJ can actually take time from her busy schedule to post pictures of the new players on the official site? I assume they are practicing so it shouldn't be an issue to set up the photos and complete the task in few minutes. No worries- just want to familiarize the new faces and their numbers.
Wondering if Ojo is healthy after only appearing in 3 games last season. We'll need her producing inside the paint.
Cherisier scored well last year but had foul trouble issues limiting her pt. Actually the new 6'5"freshmen Johnson will be counted on to assist in the paint along with Wilson.
The issues this 3rd year that must be cleaned up are the same one we've suffered from under SJ's tenure= TOs, accumulating fouls both on O and D, and slowing down the tempo (the cause of many of the TOs). If that can be mitigated/remedied, we'll most certainly turn the corner and enjoy a fun season. Here's hoping.
UDf1’s responses were right on the money and I don’t see any personal attacks (just some common sense replies). The lack of knowledge about how things work on the collegiate level seems to be on your end. Be grateful for the info that others provide. Not everyone is attacking you.
You are expecting a university head coach to do a specific PR job. This is not high school…there is staff dedicated to putting out PR information and handling events for the teams. The coaches should be recruiting and helping develop players and plays for the upcoming season.
I also tailgate with many parents of our athletes (across several sports and the dance/cheerleading teams) and I can tell you they don’t give a fig about asking the coach what specific day the team pictures come out. I’ve never heard, “Damn, those pics/this event should have been done by THIS date! What kind of leader is our coach?!?” In fact, the parents I have met are VERY familiar with the SID folks and that is where they focus their energies and questions regarding the side issues.
I get being proud of your children’s accomplishments, but expecting the head coach of a university to nit pick the small stuff? That gets nipped in the bud very early. As UDf1 says, this isn’t high school.
Lastly, if any of those parents bothered the coach with such trivial questions, the kids would tell the parents to butt out.
Hope this helps.
