I wonder if SJ can actually take time from her busy schedule to post pictures of the new players on the official site? I assume they are practicing so it shouldn't be an issue to set up the photos and complete the task in few minutes. No worries- just want to familiarize the new faces and their numbers.

Wondering if Ojo is healthy after only appearing in 3 games last season. We'll need her producing inside the paint.
Cherisier scored well last year but had foul trouble issues limiting her pt. Actually the new 6'5"freshmen Johnson will be counted on to assist in the paint along with Wilson.

The issues this 3rd year that must be cleaned up are the same one we've suffered from under SJ's tenure= TOs, accumulating fouls both on O and D, and slowing down the tempo (the cause of many of the TOs). If that can be mitigated/remedied, we'll most certainly turn the corner and enjoy a fun season. Here's hoping.
tenn hen,

UDf1’s responses were right on the money and I don’t see any personal attacks (just some common sense replies). The lack of knowledge about how things work on the collegiate level seems to be on your end. Be grateful for the info that others provide. Not everyone is attacking you.

You are expecting a university head coach to do a specific PR job. This is not high school…there is staff dedicated to putting out PR information and handling events for the teams. The coaches should be recruiting and helping develop players and plays for the upcoming season.

I also tailgate with many parents of our athletes (across several sports and the dance/cheerleading teams) and I can tell you they don’t give a fig about asking the coach what specific day the team pictures come out. I’ve never heard, “Damn, those pics/this event should have been done by THIS date! What kind of leader is our coach?!?” In fact, the parents I have met are VERY familiar with the SID folks and that is where they focus their energies and questions regarding the side issues.

I get being proud of your children’s accomplishments, but expecting the head coach of a university to nit pick the small stuff? That gets nipped in the bud very early. As UDf1 says, this isn’t high school.

Lastly, if any of those parents bothered the coach with such trivial questions, the kids would tell the parents to butt out.

Hope this helps.

college football just started as I entered the house after spending time out with my pup walking the fields and woods. beautiful day here in East Tennessee :D '

as to you Cluck, you live to jump in and stir things up. I've come to realize over time and perusing your posts that you need to post to keep your spirits up and be invested. I expected you or one other usual subject to jump in with your two sense. It takes 2 minutes for a coach to text his SID and say do it. I did that with the photographers I utilized in high school and college. Our women's basketball program needs any positive public relations it can get. No parent in his/her right mind would complain to a coach about photos- nor any player. I posted only to familiarize myself with the players. Clearly I am one of the few who even watch our games and wish for a vastly better product on the court. My philosophy that my Daddy taught me was that if you keep your eyes wide open and take care of business before it takes of you, things will generally work out fine.

have a pleasant and blessed day

A well written, thoughtful post by Cluck. Sorry that Tenn still can’t see it.

The Tenn playbook:
- Call anyone who disagrees with him a troll.
- Say he predicted what happened after the fact
- Tell us he’ll post his thoughts after the season, that way he can always be right. Example- UD hoops 21-22. Went silent during the season then when they won the tournament posted his thoughts.

Rinse and repeat.

You didn't post, "only to familiarize" yourself with the players...that is inaccurate (at best) or self-delusional. You could do that yourself through better research (plenty of other social media sites where UD players and family post). It takes 2 minute fo find that stuff. But that isn't what you did.

Nope.

And you didn't write to the coach or the players to let them know they weren't meeting your yearbook committee-like expectations.

Nope.

You, instead, posted on here because you wanted everyone reading GoHens to know that the coaching staff wasn't measuring up to your standards...and you expected everyone to say, "Hey, that tenn hen guy has great perspective and such high standards...the coaches should focus on the little things that have nothing to do with the sport in order to please a far away fan's interest so that we can emotionally bond with the team...because of pictures and stuff."

Bless your heart.

Trolls rule as I posted. Teflon arguments SOP by your group. Cluck -One falsehood you claimed was that I didn't post my reasoning for the missing photos of new players -I did and explained it was to "Familiarize" faces and #s- go back read my initial post-I'm sure you're capable of that. I even mentioned NO WORRIES to clarify that. I will promise to never post about photos again- you can hold me to it gentlemen.
Also-I don't need adulation for my brilliance. I like discussing my beloved Blue Hens who I root for every game.
Why not focus on the teams instead of gohens personalities?.
As to UDF's lame talk about after the season I'll post- yeah correct- there was no sense repeating the weaknesses of our basketball teams performances over and over. They were a broken record. So I waited for the proof in the pudding. Voila!
I have never claimed to be omnipotent. In case you haven't noticed(YOU HAVE) I'm often correct in my thoughts - just OPINIONS based on facts/research/retention of information to perceive and develop conclusions. cause and effect-the basis of arriving at factual conclusions and opinions we read every day in the paper. Unfortunately there are too many false narratives spewed out daily in this new world order of social disinformation. Regretfully, well -you get the drift. :(
happily, Football rolls along and viewing the results of our opponents presently, we should continue rolling all season long. Even Villanova appears less frightening so far.

If you honestly think this to be true, no sense going back and forth. Take care.

I'm getting more laughs from this thread than a Rodney Dangerfield show.

“It takes 2 minutes for a coach to text his SID and say do it. I did that with the photographers I utilized in high school and college.”

Now at what colleges and what sports did you coach at those colleges?

I’ll admit this time I’m trolling.😂 All others times I merely disagreed with your opinion. Still a valid question…
