Yeah, they have been playing very well, but you know that our coach does not get excited enough, just stands there with his arms folded, hasn't thrown a chair across the court, didn't bring in more than 6 transfers, etc. etc.

Rooney,

You get it, it has been nice to see. What befuddles me is that some claim they don't care how the Hens wins but complain when they do and it's not pretty. I show a trend that translates to wins over 80% of the time and I'm "Holier than Thou". It's not pretty or exciting but successful.

They are also 2nd in FG% in the CAA, I don't see shooting as a big issue. Of course at times it will go south.

I am not saying that UD should have a roster of 19 players. What I am saying is that I am tired of UD being short-handed almost every season due to injuries (including players who are injured & can't/don't play for multiple seasons if ever), players who aren't (and many never be (i.e., recruiting mistakes) ready to contribute in games, etc. This season only 7 players get significant playing time for UD. If one or more get injured, UD is screwed. Plus the 7 who do play can wear down over the season, and be not only fatigued but also be more susceptible to injury. A few more players on the roster who could contribute in games would give UD badly needed depth, allow the stalwarts to get more breaks, and be insurance for injuries, foul trouble, other players who apparently are unable to contribute in games, and for achieving a smoother transition from season to season when players are lost.

MI in the past usually doesn’t go more than 7-8 deep anyway. And if you’re a mid major and having to rely on guys 8-12, you’re probably in trouble.

Most Div I programs use a rotation of 8 players and they have several additional quality back-ups available when needed (injuries, foul trouble, etc.). UD lacks quality depth as usual.

Whatever you say, Bill.

Bill, we are not Duke or any other top 20 program that may, on occasion play more than a 7-8 man rotation. Our roster usually allows to cover for injuries. What our current roster doesn’t allow for is any support at the 5 position. Which we really don’t play, as we play all guards and a forward or two!
