Great to get both this weekend. If we can find a way to steal one at Towson, we have a chance to string together a nice little winning streak.

Nice win no matter how ugly at the end. The Officials were terrible at times esp the bald Guy. Crowd helped. My Grandson Games are now 6-0 for UD!

bluehenbillk wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2024 4:17 pm Good win for UD. But… college hoops needs a better solution for the end of games. How about no referee huddles and each team can challenge one thing in the last two minutes. Or to end the foul parade you play to a number like the TBT tournament.

Both posts are spot on. I've seen the "bald guy" numerous times and he is a terrible ref. It was no different today.

The extrodinarily long ref huddle after the out of bounds play near the end of the game was indeed painful. The play was right in front of us and I thought for sure it was out on Monmouth; the call was initially the other way. I was glad they overturned it, but at one point I said to my buddy - if it takes this long, then they should just move on.

I couldn't see the play very well when a foul was called on the Rice 3 point attempt towards the end of the game as we were blocked out. Wondering if anyone got a good look at it. If it was a foul, it was a terrible one to take in that situation.

But great win for the team. Besides Drumgoole, I thought that everyone played well. Stating the obvious - Davis is a beast. Nice to see Reilly and Houser hit those threes. Trent and Lane played well too - especially defensively. Even Peterson knocked down a big 3. All that said - I am just loving and appreciating Ray these days. It was great to see him get his 1000th. He is just such a glue guy. Just wish he was a tad better at the stripe. He will be sorely missed next year.

Okay, we know the formula. You keep bringing your grandson! I’ll take care of buying his ticket

We have one game left against 3 of the 4 teams ahead of us. Making the top 4 and getting a bye until Sunday in DC is in our own hands.

GVHen87-end of games issue-good subject you bring up- it's sort of like science fiction and cause and effect intermingled!

these LONG delays at the end of games that have evolved in many sports is unfortunately here to stay. Technology has been attempting to assist making fair decisions to mollify fans, but the inordinate stoppages are ludicrous and annoying. I don't see a major change in the works to correct this issue unless AI is utilized to promptly make the call. Will that even be possible or correct? Hal from 2001 A Space Odyssey seemed to be awesome until........ well, you know  so can AI be corrupted by super hackers? Let's not go there

I sat 5-6 rows behind the Monmouth bench and on a couple of calls that didn't go our way and seemed to be erroneous, their Head Coach turned around and smiled and even laughed on one call that benefited his son. ( His son didn't need any help from the officials). It was almost comical at times yesterday how bad some of the calls were.

The Parking Lots were really jammed up yesterday. I got to the Complex 45 minutes before tipoff and had to park way down by the Ice Arena and even that ended up full.

A good day at the Bob. Energy in the building and energy on the court. Like I have said numerous times, I don’t care how the Hens play, just so they win. But 80 something games like yesterday are entertaining, the last minute not withstanding. Oh, and I don’t think I can match HJ’s 6-0 with his grandkids, but it is surely better than .500. And I get a free workout chasing my 3 year old, never stops moving grandson. Phew!

These promos must be a big hit. We were at the Towson game and there were a lot of kids there as well! Not a bad strategy to develop the future fan base.
