NDSU scores.

Griz win.

I can't believe it's been like 14 years since Montana was in the Natty.

I feel like the Griz will need quite a bit more Offense to beat the Rabbits.

Griz coach said it has been a pleasure to HAVE BEEN their coach. Then corrected himself with…”twice.”

Mistake…or did he get an offer?

What are the Bison doing on that extra point play? They were steamrolling Montana’s DL and just gashing the Griz D. 2.5 yards out and you call a ridiculous trick play?

Bet BizonWebbyLand is going berserk.

BTW…absolutely LOVED seeing 6 False Starts on NSDU. Good on the Griz fans. Bison got a taste of their own medicine.

One other note…we got blown out. Not even close to being a game. SoCon Furman and MVFC Bison take the Griz into OT. We had a looong way to go to be in the chipper picture. Fun year…but in a different class from the better programs. #5 ranking was a joke.

Time to get bigger and better. Jax State wins a bowl game in their first year in FBS. <—- Make that the goal next year.

Their program was in shambles.

It really was. A nasty rape scandal involving some of the players and the following Jon Krakauer book was almost the end of the program.

Trick play doesn't make sense? Sounds familiar.

Well, we didn’t have NDSU’s OL. Hard to recruit those type of farm boys here in Delaware. Tubby understood that. Thus, trick plays all the time via the Wing-T. But, good teams ignored the misdirection and simply lined up and beat us. Zero for 20+ years in I-AA/FCS = tricks don’t work. Thanks for the reminder.

So…we are down to SDSU versus the Griz.

Rooting for the Griz…but don’t think it will happen.

The good news is that the Griz get a couple weeks to rest up. Their DL was tired and getting gashed. The bad news is that without a ton of SDSU errors, it won’t matter.

But, VERY happy NDSU didn’t make it back to the final. If SDSU wins, I can always chuckle that those Bison have their southern Jacks eating into the Bison legacy (think SDSU has won 4 of the last 5) and beating them at their own game.

Sad to be leaving the FCS playoff format. Hope FBS expands their offering. In the meantime…Jax State is celebrating their decision to move to FBS…what a story! 👍

Come on Carty…you probably won’t win a third national championship in FBS, but you can get a couple FBS bowl victories. Get it done!!!

100% agree. Montana has an uphill climb vs. the Snow Bunnies. UM's QB seems prone to miscues, and they have no kicking game. That changes the calculus.

I expect a good old-fashioned slobberknocker with both teams trying to pound the ball, at least initially.

Our future opponents are doing some good things. The Other Chickens get a big OT win. Too bad about NMSU. But the 'Toppers and Liberty still have a shot. Pulling for them both.
