Total Victories

Post by UD '01 grad »

Michigan marked its 1,000th program victory on Saturday. ... Their resident historian notes that at least one of those is against a high school team during the Benjamin Harrison administration. Then he shared other "Internet Schools of the Blind" that big-time programs count in their victory total.

I suppose one would have Newark Academy, Merchant Marine and others on any similar Hens-centric list. Hens are in the 730 wins neighborhood if you're counting (different sources have different numbers).

It’s not just the total number of victories that count but also the quality of the opponents.

I do not have immediate information on Wilmington YMCA's 1891 squad but imagine the Hens' 58-0 domination was enjoyed by most.

Also defeated Delaware Field Club of Wilmington, Washington College, Warren Club of Wilmington and Shortlidge Academy that year.
