I know its early but man another Friday starter in Greenly who only went 2 innings, facing 12 batters.

After giving up 2 in the 3rd, the Hens scored 3 in top of the 4th thanks to a Graeber HR

It’s the first game.

It was Amato who went deep.

Hens up 5-2.

Most likely on a pitch count this early. N Florida starter left after 45 pitches also. Graeber kid looks like the real deal.

Tyler August is a special player. Freshman nerves out there, you can see the potential he has. So much natural talent

The Fightin' Blue Hens secured a cold win over the Hornets tonight at Hannah Stadium, 14-8. It was great to see A. Gubitosi return after a long absence to the mound to close out the ninth.

Really nice series win against Jacksonville, who swept Big 12 Cincinnati last weekend and played Florida St tough this past week.

Delaware takes 2 of 3 against Jacksonville University, winning today 2 - 1 in a pitching duel. Atiya pitched really well and saved it for Marose, who also pitched well. Atiya pitched the final 3.1 innings, striking out 6, and giving up 0 hits. Good weekend for the Hens.

Greenly shouldnt be our Friday starter going forward. I know its early but he is not going to deep into games. I want August to take that roll. Give the ball to Gubitosi on Saturday and Marose on Sunday. Greenly can be first out of the pen if need be and Eli can close it.

Friday was 3inn, 4 ER on 63 pitches.

I think the live stats information run by Jacksonville during the game was incorrect as to who pitched late in the game. The final box score says Aliya pitched 0.2 innings, and Gubitosi pitched the final 2.2 innings to end the game. The box score says Gubitosi faced 8 batters and struck out 5, with no hits or walks. He was also very effective in the closer role last year. It’s good to see him back after not pitching in preseason. He throws a nice fastball.

Tomorrow’s opponent, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, f/k/a the Engineers, have started the season well, beating Michigan State and #20 Iowa.

Thanks for the correction East Coaster. I was going off the live stats information which was in error.
