Third Game: 2025

If we can't keep them off the schedule then just play them down in Dover so I don't have to watch it. I've seen it enough times to know it's not worth it.

Say, anyone remember a coach saying we could get all the talent we need within a 4-hour radius?

Good times, good times.

Of course, maybe he really meant a 4-hour radius in a Space X vehicle.

Pure genius.

And Dover…Gannonfan has it right…just play them down there so that we can get another game in our stadium.
Tubby: 3 national titles, one won on the field, all D2
Keeler: 3 national titles, all won on the field, one as a player, two as a coach, 1 D2, 2 FCS
Carty: 2 on-field national titles, one as a player, one as an OC, both FCS

Carty - get an FBS bowl win!

REMINDER:

Zero out of 56 respondents to a spring poll on the DelState game selected the following option:

-- Should be played every year in Dover. It only increases the quality of the home schedule if this game is always on the road.

The following was the most popular option (16 out of 56) ... :

-- Should be played every year the Hens remain in FCS. After that, forget it.

... but 19 out of 56 voted for either should not be played anymore or never should have been scheduled to begin with.

What is your definition of good ?
First off, bravo times two on the nickname. I own it and would change the screen name if I could only get my granddaughter to show me how.

Good? At the FCS level? I'd say the Dakota State schools. We're not there yet and that's what we should be aiming for in the year 2023. In the meantime, UD has a long way to go to compete at that level. Domination and not playing down to the level of the next several opponents would be a start. Agree?
Bluewyn Gold , You apparently have a faulty definition of "good" FCS teams . By your exclusive definition, only a very limited number of the very best/excellent FCS programs that have a good shot at winning the FCS Championship are "good" and every other FCS program is presumably "no good". Please list all of the FCS prgrmas that you view as" good".

Anyone?

Beuller?

Anyone remember Carty’s offense dominating year after year in the FCS playoffs? How’d that work out? Heck, anyone remember when any of Carty’s UNH genius mentor’s coaches won the natty? Thinking….thinking…yeah, I can’t come up with anything.

Anyone remember Keeler winning the natty down at Sammy with all of the high flying offenses before Carty? Pre-Keeler, with a D and a run based offense, Sammy lost two chippers to NDSU. Keeler was good, but wasn’t winning the natty without a change. Keeler went with the high flying act and lost, big time, to the big boys. Beat a lot of teams…but just couldn’t get over the top.

Until…drum roll please…he went out and got a defense and a bigger OL that could run as well as help with the pass happy attack. Funny, Keeler actually said he needed to go out and do just that in order to win against the big boys. And then, dang it, the guy did just that.

For the win!

Anyone remember how many points Carty’s O put up against Monmouth? How about NDSU? What about SDSU? Surely, Carty’s O scorched those opponents. Wait…that just wasn’t true. The O didn’t overwhelm any of those teams. Say, anyone remember how Carty’s O did against Montana State?

Love Carty and expect him to grow as a coach. Should be fun to watch. :D
UD defeated Monmouth 49-17.

Bonus points for creativity.

However, the ‘22 Monmouth team was not your father’s Oldsmobile. Or, maybe it was…never was an Oldsmobile fan. In any case, Carty’s O wasn’t putting up big numbers in their championship playoff run. He isn’t going to win big unless he builds a D that can prevent the big boys from stomping over over our guys.

St Francis beat them 51-14 Last year, granted that was a hot St Francis with some good WRs at the time

They beat 3 FCS teams last year, Wagner, Sacred Heart and
Central Conn or the breadline of FCS

A scrappy team that will play hard and get beat by a much better and more athletic team

Hopefully we can blow them out and get one of the Freshman QBs some more playing time
We get to see how the Dukes do against LIU this weekend. That will provide a little more perspective. Coastal Carolina was to them as PSU was to us. It would be great to see a FR QB get some time - will Minicucci overtake Lipovski’s head start on picking up the offense?
Massey has the Dukes over LIU 28-25, hope the bus is leaving today or the game might be delayed by NYC traffic

UDF has mentioned this but for these smaller programs, the portal isn’t really helping them very much if at all

Duquesne only has 4 home games this year and already played Edinboro and beat them up pretty good
Final score
Duquesne 31
LIU 28

Nails the point differential

Not bad

Caribbean Hen you may have noticed that Duquense's defense gave up TD runs of 71 and 90 yards to LIU. Yarns and Cumby should have a field day next Saturday. Lol.

Didn’t notice that Brookside and I hope your right on Yarns and Cumby, let’s go for broke

https://goduquesne.com/sports/football/ ... ntes/11814

Darius Perrantes is the QB for Duquesne and played as redshirt Freshman while at Rhode Island in 2019

As a Freshman (2021)
Started eight games and went 139 for 233 with 1,620 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions

This year already has 7 picks
