Hopefully we can blow them out and get one of the Freshman QBs some more playing time
Amen to that. It stands to reason we are going to need a backup QB to make some plays at some point this season and right now it feels like we are playing without a net at that position.

But Carty will have to be careful because if he turns the Freshman loose he might not get a handshake after the game..

I guess Marker is going to be out for an extended period of time but who knows really, I do get why Carty and most coaches won’t talk about injuries but as a fan it would be nice to have something even if it’s a snippet….out 4 to 6 weeks

This schedule is truly awful. As it stands UD will have played just two ranked teams by the end of the season.

It’s crazy how badly the CAA has fallen off in such a short time. Wasn’t it just a few years ago they were putting 5-6 teams in the playoff?

Could be worse, we could be W&M, who as of right now won't play a single ranked team all season.

CAA of course has been on a downswing for a long time - this isn't the 2000-2011's anymore, we're far from the big fish conference on the national scene as we were then. There's a reason UD is finally considering moving up.

Their QB1 has thrown 5 INTs in 3 games and they've lost 3 fumbles. They seem to want to try to be balanced on O, but ran effectively against Coastal. Their opponent this week, LIU, should be more on DU's level.
St Francis beat them 51-14 Last year, granted that was a hot St Francis with some good WRs at the time

They beat 3 FCS teams last year, Wagner, Sacred Heart and
Central Conn or the breadline of FCS

A scrappy team that will play hard and get beat by a much better and more athletic team

Hopefully we can blow them out and get one of the Freshman QBs some more playing time
We get to see how the Dukes do against LIU this weekend. That will provide a little more perspective. Coastal Carolina was to them as PSU was to us. It would be great to see a FR QB get some time - will Minicucci overtake Lipovski’s head start on picking up the offense?

Certainly some games coming up where it would be nice to get the backups in. Will be interesting, if Marker is still out for a while, to see how Carty handles the QB rotation. Ideally you’d like to redshirt both Lipvoski and Minicucci. Lipvoski has already appeared in one of the four that you’re allowed to appear in.

To me, Minicucci would be the guy getting PT next blowout. Unless Marker is healed, then he’d be my first guy to go to to get him some reps.

Massey has the Dukes over LIU 28-25, hope the bus is leaving today or the game might be delayed by NYC traffic

UDF has mentioned this but for these smaller programs, the portal isn’t really helping them very much if at all

Duquesne only has 4 home games this year and already played Edinboro and beat them up pretty good

If we really do have aspirations for FBS, this pretty much kills the thought for me

Don't worry, next year's home game against Norfolk State will balance it out.
