Another great report Dan. We are where everyone hoped we would be going into the bye at 3-1, even better 2-0 in league play. I don't think some of the posters don't give our team enough credit, I said before the season that I thought O'Connor could be special, and I think he is warming up to that prediction, though he hasn't run as much as i thought he would. Nine new defensive starters is a tough beat to start the season, but I believe that unit is really starting to make winning plays and starting to meld together as a unit. It was an either/or proposition against UNH, we chose to take away Laube and take our chances against Brosmer, and we did just enough with big pass breakups late, and a little luck with the drops, to make that strategy work. Last year we would have lost that game for a fact, the heart of this team is measurable in the way they play and don't quit. Hopefully we'll work on the special teams issues over the bye, and come back out firing in two weeks against a bad Duquesne team. I said 9-2 before the season and I'll stick with that. If we are not 7-1 going into the Elon game there is a bigger problem than anyone here believes there is. National title this year, no way, but maybe a semifinal run might not be out of the question, admittedly high hopes but I don't see but 6 or 7 teams that I wouldnt make us a favorite against.

Dan, you really do a great job. By the way, when the school radio station was first started I use to help Tom Mees in the booth on some away football games. Might be before your time but Tom went on to work for ESPN in their early days.
