I have very low expectations of FLO but I was just thankful to be able to watch the whole game with only minimal issues.

I re-started my subscription Wednesday night and made sure I could watch something which worked but I was on my computer. Last night I got ready early and FloSports was working on the TV. I had to do the HDMI cable computer to TV and everything worked great. Last year I just turned on the tube, selected FloSports, selected the game and was off and running. Maybe I have to update the FloSports App on the TV. Yea the announcers sucked but I was frustrated I couldn't see any numbers on the jerseys to figure how who was making plays for us. Although the quality isn't what we want it sure beats listening to the radio.

I watched on my ipad while the US Open was on the TV. I kept the sound off after the first half as the announcers were not good at all.

Aside from all the tech problems some had the overall game experience was not very good. The camera was so far away it was hard to determine who were making the plays, That seems typical of a lot of CAA venues. The Stony announcers were just plain bad. The game on radio was three and a half minutes ahead of the delayed video production. Overall a poor product by Stony Brook.

In the second half I matched the Delaware radio broadcast to the Stony video. Props to the Delaware color man, He was very knowlagable and did a great job.

The WVUD 91.3 University of Delaware broadcast or the 94.7 Delaware based broadcast? Dan was doing well with his gig. :D

I am not talking about Scott Klatzkin. I was praising the color man on WDSD 94.7

I watched via the FloSports app on my TCL Roku television. I compared it to WDSD over the air during the game and it was only 30 seconds behind radio. Not bad at all.

Also, the feed was excellent, though the Stony Brook production was meh. Such is the nature of Flo. They're just a pass through entity for home school broadcasts.

Which is what ESPN+ and ESPN3 is, as well. It's a mixed bag, depending on what the home university wants to put into it.

The real question is whether the ESPN/Flo contracts provide enough money (or related contractual obligations) for the schools to take steps to upgrade their production/value. Monetary/contractual incentives are a great way to improve the broadcasts. Can’t imagine the big networks allow for schools to broadcast camera views that look as though they are shot from the neighboring county.

I certainly do not know any of that. What I do know, is that I tried to watch two of the mostly poorly produced video presentations this year, that I have ever seen.

Both were A10 ESPN+ events: UDFH at VCU and UDWSOC at LaSalle.

I know LaSalle is a low budget outfit, but VCU surprised me. Maybe with the A10's increasing irrelevance, that just don't have the resources.

Is that guy new?

Listening to 94.7 in previous years was tough. Too much rah-rah…way too much. If we lost 10 yards on a busted reverse sweep, those guys would praise the WRs off-season efforts to get in better shape to get down the field to draw off a defender. Unicorn farts and eternal sunshine.

It wasn’t just Scott…he is a Baghdad Bob…it was the whole team.

If things have improved, I might give them a listen. Thanks.

I did not listen to WDSD for this game, but the color man in the past was Bill Harman. He is one of the biggest homers out there. I don't know how we had lost any games over the last few seasons if you listened to his take on the team!! Coaching is always outstanding as are each and every player. Unfortunately it rubs off on Scott and makes a farce of the broadcast As I have stated in the past, Harman's knowledge of the game is fine, and basketball he is even more knowledgeable, its his homerism that kills it for me.

I was very happy to see FloSports app on the Fire TV. watching on my 50 inch TV did not help with seeing the player numbers, but it was still a good option to see the game.
