Below info was on a tweet. Don’t know how to copy a tweet link, so maybe someone can find it and put in a link. Pretty good company…not sure of the metrics.

Great news. Yet another indication UD will be moving on from FCS and the CAA.

shocking- dreaming-yin/yang- "wouldn't it be nice" to be among the storied and present programs! and play them regularly as opposed to a one off like PSU or Duke? this was my initial response to the NIL "thing" that resulted in this rant/ observation/ reality.

when will this announcement be official ????
when will the new facilities campaign be " ?
when will Nasir's LARGE and expected donation be " ?
when will JOY return and expand in Blue Hen Country?
when will we announce that we are (at least) going INDEPENDENT for football?

in conclusion- "when will I(UD) be loved" -Everly brothers- our "hearts been broken every time"

sorry about the Debbie Downer but reality bites( way too often with our Blue Hens ) - " I been searching" every day for good news. The best ever was Rolf's Field Hockey NC.

NEW NARRATIVE
maybe Nasir's gift will "Unleash the Claws of the Blue Hens"- Now that's more like the terror our mascot should present to college sportsl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :P   I claim a patent for this new patent- seriously

NO KUSH as Pat always posts
Keep the faith kick butt go Hens

Found a regular link to the NIL Summit info.

https://nilsummit.com/

At that link, you can check out the NIL promotions and their upcoming Awards ceremonies where UD is listed as a finalist.

Side note: there are some really nice looking college athletes out there. Their good looks probably help them get endorsements.

Seems as though this is monetized-commercialized Tik-tok/Twitter/Facebook stuff, but if that gets athletes paid and on campus, then bring it on.

The fact that UD is mentioned along with some bigger schools, especially in the innovation category is good news.

This is the real world now where we will have to compete for athletes. Like it or not, the kids don’t care about the opinion of old fogies…they just want to get paid for their talents/services. They are business minded student athletes looking after their interests. Good for them.

I don’t know. But they almost surely are. There are a whole bunch of folks that deny all information around them. At least this denial is harmless.

Speaking of the big boys, is the Pitt game from the Crock era our worst FBS defeat in modern times? I have a feeling September 9 in Happy Valley could top it...

That was the worst game ever for me too Bill. It was worse than the score too. Least prepared I've ever seen a Delaware Football team

I don't think I lasted even for the first quarter of that game.

To his credit, Danny had us ready the second time we played there.

The PSU game should have happened 50 years ago. Yeah, I know, I'm old.

Better get used to it if moving up to FBS, but hey, everybody gets their wish and are playing with the big boys, drubbings included.

All of a sudden, huge day for the Blue Hen Collective in a rollout of football player partners.

Right as I sent my original tweet on the matter, Ryan O'Connor was announced as another participant. First QB to be named.

I think Broadway Danny Rocco made up for that a few years later. Another "almost" win. The Pitt QB who threw the go-ahead TD late in the game is now the Steelers QB.

The PITT QB for that game was actually Nick Patti. Kenny Pickett didn't throw a pass and I don't remember him even playing.
