URGENT BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Apparently Mrs. '01 received a call/voicemail today re: renewing season tickets from UD. That led to a confused text message to me asking about the tickets. I patiently explained the situation, and all was set right again. Eagerly awaiting what message was left behind.

Re: Schedule
For information:
The Seat Geek after market sales process works very well. I had some extra tickets last year, and was able to readily sell them.
The Tuesday night game against NMSU may be be a tough one, but how cool is that to be hosting them?

Re: Schedule
I received a call from the UD Ticket Office this morning. I was told that now that a schedule has been released the deadline to renew & keep your season seats & parking at last year's prices and to be eligible to participate in seat and/or parking upgrades is Mar 31. I renewed my season tickets & parking today. Upgrade dates have yet to be established but will presumably start April 1 or later. Those who renew by March 31 will supposedly receive an email about the upgrade process. I was told that I would receive an email when UD established the new deadline to renew but all I received was a phone call. Oddly I see nothing posted about this Mar 31 deadline at bluehens.com . Has anyone else here been contacted by the UD Ticket Office about a March 31 deadline? If anyone contacts the UD Ticket Office, please post what they say.

Re: Schedule
Voicemail said March 31 deadline for "best prices of the year." ... similar to what Bill posted.UD '01 grad wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 4:25 pm URGENT BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Apparently Mrs. '01 received a call/voicemail today re: renewing season tickets from UD. Guess schedule (home at least) is set.
Re: Schedule
Agreed, having a Friday night game is actually not that bad. Isn't that hard getting out of work early on a Friday (realize that's not the case with everyone) and getting the early start on the weekend is pretty nice. And it often happens around early October so the weather is still pretty good. Probably going to miss the Friday night one this year as we oddly have a cross country trip planned (going to Colorado to see Navy @ Air Force) but that won't be every year. Still better than a Tuesday game.Hens79 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 3:58 pmThe Hens are going to have 1, and maybe 2 Tuesday, Wednesday night home games a year in CUSA. I love the Friday night games and don’t really consider them “week night” games. If that extra Tuesday, Wednesday game is a season ticket decider … well …..Bluewyn Gold wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 2:47 pmThat's a fair point and one that should be considered for those renewing their season tickets.UD '01 grad wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2026 12:13 pmWhen 33 percent of the home games are potentially on a weeknight (especially given the time disaster of last year's Middle Tennessee tilt) and our group is still young enough to have full-time M-F occupations, it may make a difference in terms of commitment.

Re: Schedule
Isn't the court case scheduled for today? Or is it being postponed again?

Legal Action: On March 6, 2026, the University of Louisiana System filed a lawsuit against CUSA seeking a court-ordered 2026 departure date. A hearing was set for March 19, 2026.

Re: Schedule
Not postponed but cancelled. The case moved from Louisiana state court to Federal court.
Tomorrow’s hearing in Lincoln Parish in the University of Louisiana System’s lawsuit against Conference USA is cancelled. The UL System filed the lawsuit on behalf of Louisiana Tech in its quest to leave Conference USA for the Sun Belt for the 2026 football season. Matt Bellinson, a reporter with the Ruston Daily Leader, says Conference USA has filed a motion to move the case to federal court.

Re: Schedule
Looks like CUSA would now like to compel arbitration instead of continuing with a court case. The federal judge assigned to their case is a Louisiana Tech alumnus.

Re: Schedule
None of this nonsense is about where Louisiana Tech will play this fall; they will play a Sun Belt schedule. This is all about Louisiana Tech’s unwillingness to pay the exit fees as laid out in the CUSA agreement they have signed. Don’t let anyone from Louisiana or the Sun Belt try to tell you anything different. IT’S ABOUT THE EXIT FEE.

Re: Schedule
If arbitration is used, I sure hope that it will be binding arbitration that will not allow further litigation.
Re: Schedule
It's going to be fine. La Tech will play a Sun Belt schedule and they'll have to cough up some money (or not get money they were going to get). In a couple of weeks we'll have the revised CUSA schedule without La Tech on it and all will be well.BlueHenBill wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2026 2:53 pm If arbitration is used, I sure hope that it will be binding arbitration that will not allow further litigation.
