NBA draft

Post by Cluck U »

Most folks are complaining about losing players to other college teams.

9 of the first 10 picks in the NBA draft were freshmen...with one sophomore.

First senior was #11...second was #16.

Hmmmm....seems as though even the big colleges can't provide enough NIL money. 8)

I haven't watched the NBA for many years( not even a glance), and have no inclination to do so in the future. It is no surprise that the elevated salaries are too inviting for these young kids not to grab while they are "hot stuff". I expect that they sign injury insurance policies( CTAs).

As to complaining about losing players here at UD, why on God's Earth would any of our former players wish to remain here after these disastrous years for both squads. Besides the prospect of higher NIL money, why remain here on a sinking ship with the same leadership in place. All these years of disappointment have been hard to stomach. I wish them all well, but I'm sad to view their lack of any UD love!

When someone asks why on God's Earth would someone remain at UD, emphasizing the recent disastrous years, after complaining for quite some time about our (and supposedly, his - as a fan) UD sports teams...and then follows with saying they are, "sad" to view that the players lacked any, "love" for UD...that's a bit obtuse.

I beyotch about our football DC...and I was not a fan of our Lost Decade coaches, but I didn't and don't yap about the players not having any reason to not get out of Dodge en masse and then turn around and be sad about their lack of loyalty and love for UD.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

I’d also like to thank all of the people that came before me. Their bold sacrifices were not in vain.

Now, to the future: basketball is a sport where coaches can turn things around in a hurry. It would be nice to get to the Big Dance and shock the world with a first round win.

Yes, henzone is giving me his KC bobblehead doll at our next meeting and Pat is giving me some shooting lessons from the 3pt line. Giving people they are...and I am one of their favorites of all Blue Hens fans (you can feel the love in their posts regarding our Blue Hens kinship, which is very similar to our budding, loving relationship).

Can't wait to see the soon-to-be-offered token of your affections. I'll bring the beer. :D
