Transfer Portal

Portal opened on Sunday.

Inside lacrosse has a portal tracker and reports the following:

Delaware

Luke Galgano, M, Gr.

I rough counted 222 transfer candidates in the portal not counting the three leaving Delaware so lots to choose from.

This is just what the Hens need in the middle of the field. Cooper Metz is a guy you just can’t ignore both on defense and faceoffs. Guy is an absolute terror and played well against tough competition outside of MAAC play.

Great get for DeLuca in the portal.

Hens also found a backup goalie from Sacred Heart who looks pretty good. They’re losing the backups to graduation and transfer. Also bringing in an excellent lefty freshman goalie from Salesianum.

I wish I knew. It’s a new D1 program that loses a lot of games, but to lose 21 guys in one year might have more to do with the young coaching staff. Coach Surman didn’t have a lot of success at Mercer. He might be a challenging coach to play under.
