Gambling is a dangerous endeavor. This NIL issue is not a newbie and a decent number of coaches have adjusted to this new order successfully- not so much our bball programs. Hard to "keep the faith" when this year's recruits have some baggage!
According to your definition of “baggage”, Fernandez and Bliss had limited playing time or production before transferring to UD (in fact Bliss had no playing time/personal issues and Fernandez missed a season due to injury).
Both had individually successful seasons at UD last year. I guess the “gamble” paid off.
