I enjoy reading all your posts guys. each case of transfers is somewhat unique imo, though dollars clearly do come into play. As to playing time- it's obviously not an issue for all our transfers :roll: Yeah Houser impressed me with his performance and contributed big time in his return from injury. If we had possessed another big guy last season( no, the elder Emory had no business at #5), we could have done better. The big man selection by MI has been his achilles heel. He brought in a few acceptable though not super guys at times. recruiting B and F were solid talented pickups for CUSA(average conference in sports) who carried our squad. As to Macon Emory- I believe he possesses excellent athletic ability. Refining his shot selection and taming his fouling issue(both areas that better coaching might have improved) will potentially increase his upside to play at a somewhat higher level. Possibly his family may have played a role in his logical decision to transfer due to our program's decline not to mention the unexpected limited career of his brother Houston. I give kudos to the guy for sticking it out for all four years APOOP-just created a new acronym= always playing out of position) :wink:

The same issue applies to our many women's transfers as well. They( a number of talented kids) are ALL now gone as is our program under SJ. :( :oops: History lesson-Martin never followed up after the wonderful Dellla Donne years and Adair won acceptably, but.. Look where those coaches are now!! Did the CAA level of play factor in-of course :lol:

I've refrained for a long time from posting till a few days ago. I felt that the above line^ demanded at least an overall look at our athletics. As UDForever posted, why is SJ still our coach? Status quo will only contribute to more decline as. It takes guts as a leader to step up to the plate( have our baseball posts this yearever reached this level before?) and ACT

Man, I pray our football team has a really good year coming up. we need it

Not sure that "received interest" means much at this point. An offer would be different and rather surprising from any of the schools he (or his agent) mentions. Again, money is probably a factor. How much does it cost to exceed what UD can put on the table?
