Three wins in a row overall, and three in a row vs. VU.

Series at Liberty this weekend. A chance to win some away games. Currently 0-8 vs. opponents at their home.

A fun team to watch. Definitely showing steady improvement in pitching.

Can we get some of the women to pitch on the men's team?

3 of the last 4 CUSA series are at Delaware. We have a great chance of finishing in the top four in the conference.

Hens win 4-3 today with a two-out single by Gallucci in the bottom of the 7th inning. Hens won yesterday 9-1. They are now 10-7 in the conference. Nice win. Can sweep Middle Tennessee with a win tomorrow.

It sure feels like this team is poised to make some serious noise in the C-USA tournament. Always fun to watch Schafer do her thing, but it’s great to see us getting contributions on offense up and down the lineup. And we have a couple of freshmen who have really come into their own. I know there is a lot of season left, but you have to hand it to Jen and the rest of her staff...they are pretty amazing. The way they have managed the pitching staff in a year when we don’t have a dominant starter (or 2) has been incredible. Sure feels like the best is yet to come from this team!!

The final two series at New Mexico State and at home against Western Kentucky are looming big. Win those two series and Delaware has an excellent chance at finishing at least third in the conference. Sam Houston has to play on the road against two fairly decent teams in Louisiana Tech and FIU and at home against first place Jacksonville State.

Hens beat Kennesaw in the first game of the series 8-0. Maddie Diamond hit a clutch three-run homer in the bottom of the 4th inning and a one-run double in the 5th inning. Shaffer had a two-run single in the 5th inning as well. Hens scored 8 runs on only 4 hits but the hits were clutch. Game was called early in the bottom of the 5th inning due to the run rule. Crossman got the shutout and only allowed 3 hits. Hens are now 12-7 in conference play.

Hens take the first game of a double header beating Kennesaw 9-1 in another shortened run rule victory. Freshman Maddie Diamond hits another three-run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning. Diamond now has 12 home runs for the season. Wilkerson gets the victory allowing only one run and three hits in 5 innings pitched. Hens record improves to 13-7 in conference play and 25-19 overall.
