We have a pretty tough schedule! Liberty at home on Fri night to open conference play kind of like WKU last
Year guess they like us in the Friday night spot. The good news with that as it only gives us one true weeknight game at home on Tuesday, which is nice.

8 plus wins would be another nice season with that schedule. I guess la Tech is back for another year?

I haven’t seen an email announcement from UD, nor is there anything on bluehens.com yet.

I am finding this rollout strangely curious, especially considering this is happening prior to the March 19th court hearing.

I am going to give this a few days before I start buying plane tickets and booking hotel rooms.

The story is the schedule release was a legal move and part of a pissing contest. Word filtered that the Sun Belt was going to release their schedule today, with La Tech in it. I think UD was just one of a few CUSA schools to put a schedule out.

Don’t put the schedule in ink ( that phrase is so old in the digital era) as it will likely change
UD to FBS. I never thought I’d see the day

In this scenario Missouri State would also have a 5-day turnaround (coming off a road game) but would have advantage of hosting the game vs. Hens. UD would be coming off a home game (Liberty).

Yes, tough sledding if it holds.

This is the business the Hens have chosen. Still, this schedule would leave seven straight fall Saturdays without Hens football in Newark. Looks like Kennesaw, Sam Houston and Missouri State would have a similar time gap between home Saturdays.

Remember that quote about Group of 6 fans being at the mercy of television executives?

With all that said, still beats the days of St. Francis (Pa.) and Dixie State.

It does. Burns my goat that we just don’t move the first game to a Saturday. I mean it is Labor Day weekend but so what it’s still a Saturday I’m sure the people around UD just want the day off, but I mean we could have another Saturday game, lack of Saturday games I don’t think does a ton to draw consistent engagement . What are you gonna do? Also, we have a home game after Thanksgiving again that traditionally does not draw well. Ehhh

Check out this story from Delaware Online: Delaware 2026 football schedule out: Home CUSA bout vs. Liberty looms

Louisiana Tech will still be part of Delaware's Conference USA schedule and will be a road game for the Blue Hens.
