Good article…thanks, Ralph. It will be interesting to see if Keeler can turn Temple into a winner while navigating the current challenges of college football. He definitely seems to be getting his ducks in a row.
I followed that link to another good article (solid coverage from the Inquirer).

There are an also couple good videos in that article. Keeler is Keeler. Danged good motivator.
Sam Houston Bearkat and Eagles player Tristin McCollum, Carty and Flacco are quoted giving high praise to Keeler. The guy is a winner.

Thanks for the article.
I'm just an alum who has been hoping for the move to FBS for many years, but I see Keeler's hiring as a potential calamity. We had a struggling competitor up the road kind of twisting in the wind who is now seemingly on a clear course and buoyed by the new AAC's athlete revenue sharing requirements.
I hope we don't fall in to the little brother role in the relationship now that we are fighting over recruits with a less desirable conference affiliation.
I hope I'm wrong because I've been looking forward to UD taking a step forward for a long time.

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
Can KC turn Philly into a college FB town? Wouldn’t put it past him. He should be at UD. But, alas……. BTW, how is the AD search going?

That is where the devil is in the details. I doubt if he will be taking any potential recruits on a walk up North Broad after dark.

Transforming PM North Broad Street into a Mecca for recruits would be, IMO, equivalent to Moses parting the Red Sea. But if anyone can do it look no further than the stable genius of a football coach aka Kurt Charles Keeler. If you don't believe me, just ask him. He'll probably also show you his championship rings.

But do you agree he should be at UD?pikecreekbill wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 12:15 pmTransforming PM North Broad Street into a Mecca for recruits would be, IMO, equivalent to Moses parting the Red Sea. He would be an upgrade for sure, but maybe not my first choice. I'm just wondering if him going to Temple is some sort of payback to UD for not hiring him the second time around. It just seems odd that just before UD would be playing Sammy he makes this move.HENJOHN wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 2:18 pmABSOLUTELY77HEN wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 2:11 pmBut do you agree he should be at UD?pikecreekbill wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 12:15 pm

For me the hire would have been before now and geared towards the Transitional effort we have coming up. His proven ability to attract quality Transfers and now utilize the Portal which in the current landscape is extremely important. I realize he's not everyone's cup of tea but in 2025 I think he would have been the right fit.

What we have right now is more than likely not the right fit for this move or even for what we wanted to accomplish in FCS. KC should be the guy for UD. Temples program is going to likely improve quickly. We are going to get rocked in FBS for a bit. Our roster is not improved at all from our mediocre FCS roster. KC already took our recruiting coordinator and some of our recruits already. Chrissy is gone……UD needs more upgrades for this Wake Forest, Liberty, Connecticut, Colorado is not St.Francis, Penn, Monmouth, NC@T, Campbell
Re: KC Keeler - Temple
He was at a local Delaware recruiting a couple weeks ago and he is planning on a Quick turnaround. Don't bet against him

Re: KC Keeler - Temple
KC never backs down. A face to face with Tres that will appear in the local papers might result in a game. A game in Philly would sell a lot of tickets.
In regard to recruiting I expect that Temple will target a lot of our top recruits. They already poached one.
In regard to the man himself, he deserves to have a statue in the stadium next to our other great coaches My only question is will his image be wearing sun glasses.
