This really isn’t difficult.Sally in RI wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 12:40 pmInteresting way to begin what ends up to be a complimentary post. I am presuming that you have never played field hockey. Especially since the rules have changed and the game has moved to turf, it is a very fast and demanding game. I am more than annoyed at your condescending comments. I’m pretty sure that you couldn’t hold a candle to these athletes.Cluck U wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 12:38 pm Ladies getting clobbered.
Watching women's field hockey...always looks as though a bunch of old women with osteoporosis are playing.
Too many of these young ladies can't advance the ball without looking at themselves dribbling. Bending over so much doesn't help.
But, barring an unbelievable comeback, we have at least won the CAA and a tournament playoff game. Nice job, ladies.

You, right up there ^^^^^, decided to make things personal and, in a blatant fit of misandry assumed I had no idea about actually having any experience with the game of field hockey, so you, admittedly, right up there ^^^^, got, “more than annoyed” at what you thought were condescending comments from me.
I didn’t bring up a player’s name or attack any individual…nor did I break any forum rules.
Instead of replaying with some facts about the womens’ ability to consistently advance the ball or providing any comments about the equipment the forces the poor posture, you decided to say some ill-informed nonsense about my familiarity with field hockey and my inabilities to hold a candle to the women athletes.
In the meantime, plenty of people on here make comments about players (individually and collectively) and their inabilities. OLs can’t block, QBs can’t read the D, players can’t shoot the ball, players can’t rebound…coaches don’t have a full roster of D1 players, yet few posters turn around and decide to attack the posters and make things personal.
But, you did. Right up there. ^^^^^^
No facts or thoughtful input in any of your responses…just an emotional attack…and some silly post facto idea that there is a, “bad guy” in this conversation.
Silly, really, but that is the path you chose.
I’ll keep supporting our athletes, celebrate their successes and commenting on UD sports. If that triggers you, you can always block me.
