Was asked about the portal a lot. Interesting comments regarding high school recruits. I remember an interview within the last year or two where he said he would never have the recruiting pitch to a high school player of “come here, we’ll help you develop and then you can go elsewhere.” Seems that has completely changed, as he refers to a freshman of ours (obviously Pasha) and said his recruiting pitch was “give me two years” and we’ll go from there.

Also says Timko is one of the better 3 point guys he’s ever coached.

Continuing from interview:
Tahron Allen. Winner, intangibles to be highly effective, versatile jack of all trades, strong vocal leader in the locker room.
John Camden. Need to be an impact player like Dylan Painter was. Need him to score but not necessarily from the post like Painter.

Challenging at the mid major level. He has played the
what if I had Carr, Nelson, Davis game.
MI had a high major friend/coach call and ask his opinion about players in the CAA that, if they entered the portal, he would go after.

Nate Darling's daggers came to mind when MI made the comment about the best 3 pt shooter he ever coached 8)
