Yes, you are correct.
Scholarship players (years of eligibility remaining after this year):
Christian Ray (0)
Jalun Trent (0)
Jyare Davis (1)
Niels Lane (1)
Gerald Drumgoole (1)
Zion Bethea (1-2*)
Wes Peterson (1-2*)
Cavan Reilly (2)
Tyler Houser (2)
Kobe Jerome (2)
Gabe Moss (3-4*)
---------------------------------
Macon Emory (4)
*Medical redshirts
We had 2 open scholarships this season.
Thanks, I thought Houston got a scholarship after last season.
How did Drumgoole get the extra year? I thought this was his 5th year. (2 - Pitt; 2 - Albany; & 1 - UD)
Thought the same with Houston but checked in with the team and he still is not.
Drumgoole's years:
2019/20 - Pittsburgh (21 games)
2020/21 - Pittsburgh (COVID year, no eligibility)
2021/22 - Albany (Season ending injury first game of season, no eligibility)
2022/23 - Albany (31 games)
2023/24 - Delaware (29 games)
Will be his 6th year in college, but last year of eligibility.
That's good news. Wasn't aware of medical redshirt.
Doesn't Trent get a 5th year? 2 - Juco, 1 - ND & 1 - UD?
You are right about Trent, it would seem the 2020-21 year should give him one more year. He graduated from Upper Darby HS in 2018... and didn't play college basketball until Fall 2020 with Cochise. But according to the Cochise roster archive at the link here... he was on the roster the 2018/19 season. So this must have exhausted his first year of eligibility.
2018/19 - Cochise (no games, on roster/team picture)
2019/20 - Not on roster
2020/21 - Cochise (14 games, COVID year/no eligibility loss)
2021/22 - Cochise (33 games)
2022/23 - North Dakota (33 games)
2023/24 - Delaware (29 games)
Wait, so there is 14 players on the roster, 3 walk-ons including Houston? Only 11 scholarship players? Thanks

Hengrad, thanks for our conversation. I just wanted to reinform you and those who are tracking this stuff like the rest of us that Houston is indeed now on scholarship. I got lost in translation and I'm sorry. But I've just got confirmation and I want to clarify this in here.
