FYI-I'm well aware of his substantial contributions and extremely thankful for his support to our school. Joe is exemplary in that regard.
Depending on the terms of the contracts he has signed and or negotiated over the years, there are times that tax consequences in certain years can lead to choosing generous tax deductible decisions. I don't do Joe's taxes , but... In any case, our superstar is set for life! We are all happy for him and grateful for his remembering us.

I don’t always agree with Pat’s holier-than-thou approach to everything UD Hoops either Tenn, but I do have to agree that Davis and Drumgoole don’t have a realistic shot at playing in the NBA. They are both wonderful Division I basketball players and we would be lost without them, but the NBA is a different kind of animal. You’re talking about some of the greatest athletes in the world at that level. Having said that, they both will make plenty of money overseas. No disrespect to either of them. Davis will go down as one of the greatest Blue Hens ever. Right up there with Saddler and Pegues. And if Gerald had spent his entire career in Newark, he’d be in that discussion, as well…
