If Joe could be persuaded to kick in a big check to the stadium, why not name it Joe Flacco Stadium and score 2 birds with one stone?
For instance announcements like" UD opens it's season in Joe Flacco stadium against NAME opponent like JMU" or........ sounds good to me!
Have Joe appear before the game at the 50 to flip the coin. simple and effective!

FYI-I'm well aware of his substantial contributions and extremely thankful for his support to our school. Joe is exemplary in that regard.
Depending on the terms of the contracts he has signed and or negotiated over the years, there are times that tax consequences in certain years can lead to choosing generous tax deductible decisions. I don't do Joe's taxes  , but... In any case, our superstar is set for life! We are all happy for him and grateful for his remembering us.

edit- for typos above

Tenn, I thought you were withholding a major donation? Maybe also when Drumgoole and Davis make it to the NBA as you predict, they could help out as well.

The old Tubby Raymond Field at Tenn Hen Drumgoole Davis Stadium. Just gotta do rock paper scissors to see who does the coin flip.

I see the East Tenn Kush has been harvested!!!!

That is the only explanation about the NBA, Davis and Drumgoole being in the same sentence.

I haven't made a list, Is Davis a Top 10 All Time Hen??

I believe I didn't predict, but hoped they might get a shot(pun intended). I guess I'm off base as you're the expert pal!
it's nice to be positive toward your own team's player(s) without degrading them. This season would be a catastrophe without them.
All I read from you is your obvious repetitive mantra- "keep your opponent under 60 and you'll win" which is a given for any bball fan!

I have an idea…why don’t we form some sort of group/committee that will decide how other people can spend their money?
Tubby: 3 national titles, one won on the field, all D2
Keeler: 3 national titles, all won on the field, one as a player, two as a coach, 1 D2, 2 FCS
Carty: 2 on-field national titles, one as a player, one as an OC, both FCS

Carty - get an FBS bowl win!

Just being real and it's under 70!!!!

I am not degrading, I asked a question??? Said nothing negative. Actually complimented your harvest.
But we did steal from Ray from a conference foe!!!!!

Everyone enjoy the Superbowl

I don’t always agree with Pat’s holier-than-thou approach to everything UD Hoops either Tenn, but I do have to agree that Davis and Drumgoole don’t have a realistic shot at playing in the NBA. They are both wonderful Division I basketball players and we would be lost without them, but the NBA is a different kind of animal. You’re talking about some of the greatest athletes in the world at that level. Having said that, they both will make plenty of money overseas. No disrespect to either of them. Davis will go down as one of the greatest Blue Hens ever. Right up there with Saddler and Pegues. And if Gerald had spent his entire career in Newark, he’d be in that discussion, as well…
