Nice post Henway:

I didn't see one moment of last night's game.

But the Hens are now 8-0 when giving up 69 or less points
1-5 when they give up 70 or more points.

Clearly 3 pt. shooting is the issue with this squad.

This year's version of UD basketball is notably better than was the case last year in several ways: it is a deeper, more versatile roster; there are multiple scoring threats; the defense has the potential to be very good and is capable of switching to a zone when advisable; they are making their foul shots lately. To be sure, there are some deficiencies as well -- particularly the lack of size in the front court. Still, in MHO, MI and his staff should be given credit for re-making the roster in the off-season to bring the squad to where it is today. There are better teams in the CAA, but the Hens are capable of giving anyone they face a major headache.

One other thing: Davis is a special player and fans should come to see him play while that is possible. Just saying.

A lot of pissing and moaning when the Hens weren't winning by 100 right out of the gate, but not a word spoken after then went from 10 up to 31 point lead in the second half. No comments about how the Fighting Blue Hens looked effective going an extended period of time using a 3/ 2 zone. No comments about going to 10 players for 5 or more minutes. No observation about how Houser only picked up 2 fouls in 23 minutes. And yes we know Hampton sucks, but we did what we needed to do....won by 27! Don't worry, when we lose to Hofstra(who own us) the usual bashing will resume. As Mike Schmidt said....the thrill of winning and the agony of reading about it the next day..
Excellent post. It’s amazing what some people find to complain about.

A question: Of the 6 transfers who joined the team this year, who else besides Houser will have more than this year of eligibility?

Was thinking this last night while watching the backups. I believe Lane has an extra year due to COVID, Bethea has a COVID year and looks like he redshirted in 21-22, so he’d have two years left after this year. Jerome and Houser multiple years.

We are going to have to restock big time in some areas again this off season, but I guess that’s life now in college sports.

A few weeks ago I looked up the transfer stats from the last two years. Roughly 30% of men’s basketball scholarship players have entered the portal each of the past 2 seasons. That’s the equivalent of 4 players, per team, per season, coming in and out of your program. Football is averaging about 20%.

Thanks Coach,

It's way to confusing to even attempt to decipher, appreciate it
