Congratulations. But this is a surprise, he kind of had a tough night. For a large part, it seemed that UNH was targeting #4. They executed their plays so well at times it did make it tough for him (one PI call for example). Looking forward to #26 returning back in to the DB rotation; he clearly got a concussion while making the tackle in the StFU game.

I felt the same way and mentioned it to Andy Walter in the press box during the game. Andy disagreed with me and felt Dawsey was having a good game, especially since a couple of the PI calls against him looked pretty weak and could have been viewed as excellent PBI’s had they not been called. So, I give Andy credit for seeing things a bit differently than me.

I noticed they were targeting him but thought Dawsey was showing some great athleticism and playing very well. The 2 PI calls were weak especially the second one … horrible call

Dawsey got beat quite a bit but also made a lot of nice plays. Kind of hard to stop everything when they were targeting him on almost every pass play. UNH must have thought they had a mismatch. Didn't know #26 was out. The Flo Sports staff had Mimouni and Marker as our only official injurys going into the game. It appears UD chooses not to share this information with the media.

What are we looking like injury wise right now and what is the status?
-Marker
-Wimberly
-Mimouni
-Lyde

Anyone else and what is the status?

From where I sat it appeared he made a lot of tackles AFTER the WR caught the ball seemly in the open. I suspected that with the extra attention to Laube that he was left with a tough task in zone coverage ?

I thought the pass interference penalty on Dawsey where hand checking or fighting was going on was a bad call.

“Typically, if there is mutual handfighting between the defender and the receiver, this will not draw a flag as neither player is gaining an advantage over the other, one of the key tenets of the rule.”

It was a horrific call. It happened right in front of me. Plus the ball was overthrow. No need to make a bail out call at that point in the game or really ever.

When your opponent throws the ball 59 times, you get lots of chances.

#84 was the guy I thought punished the DB's:

Lepkowski,Kyle 5 83 1 34

Yes, after a while it seemed like all the passing was playing right into our hands and thankfully Ricky Santos didn’t come back to haunt us again
