That'd be cool. Beaver Stadium & the tailgating up there are the finest in the Northeast. The atmosphere would be dead comparably for a FCS game & Franklin has the program at a high national level. I'd love to see it if it happens.

Thought the BigInfinity didn't want their teams playing any more down-level games.

That means, of course, that PSU thinks we're going to move up a level, right?

The Big Ten changed their rules a year ago - they can play a FCS team every other year, in years when they only have 4 home league games. Big Ten schools play a 9-game league schedule.

interesting, but never a fan of the guarenteed L games. after the lead up and kick off, there is little to get excited about.

I have all the respect in the world for Coach Franklin and the current squad.

I am 1000% against this game. It is very difficult for me to even say the name of that university.

That is just my personal opinion and understand not many feel like I do.
Not trying to start a big debate.

well, in the end it was individuals, not the University, and 2 of those individuals are in jail, one is dead, and the other two served their time in jail, so.......The current leadership was not involved, nor were the students and student athletes.

I assume this game would be scheduled several years down the road. I expect that in 4 or 5 years Rocco is going to have us as a top 10 FCS team. If it is played next year I am not in favor. I like to see us play games where we have a chance to win, even a small chance.

I thought that Rocco, Rawak, & co. indicated that UD wouldn't be scheduling any more of these big time mismatches in the future, only FBS games that make sense like Temple, etc. I am not in favor of playing PSU or any big time opponent where UD has no real possibility of winning.

I enjoy seeing one FBS game per year, but can’t say I’d be in favor of being mauled in Happy Valley by the Nittiny Lions. I would much prefer a game that we can be competitive in. Maybe a UConn, Temple, Army, UMass...even a MAC or lower level ACC team. Not sure what getting embarrassed by PSU does for us, other than a paycheck.

I wish we got a chance to play at Penn State when I was there. I know my teammates felt the same way. We all wanted a shot to prove we could play with the best. So I’m sure the players would love this opportunity. As a fan, you better believe I’ll be there taking in this big time environment. As long as we go there with the belief we can win and play accordingly it will be a fun game. I enjoyed the watching the UNC game and the V tech game last year. Those were both top 25 teams and we competed well against them. Now if we go in there and play like we did against Pitt then no way. But if we are a top FCS team again that wont happen. All this talk about no deaths . Stop. We lost 14-7 to Maryland in the most losing season ever back in 2008. These guys put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else.

How can this happen? The Big Ten isn't allowing any of its football teams to schedule FCS any longer. They don't want the mismatches, their fans/alums don't like it. They have to fill the sits, too many don't attend those games.
