Can we ever catch a break? Next thing we’ll find out: Darling isn’t coming back...

This one doesn’t make sense. I could have maybe seen next year when everyone leaves. Unbelievable.

This one is a head scratcher for sure. Time for Novakovich to step up!

My thoughts exactly...was thinking if Mutts has another good year, we win the CAA, he plays in the dance and higher schools come recruiting *because you know that **** happens).

I was actually thinking the the other day...kudos to MI for the only CAA school not to lose anyone to transfer. Silly me.

Provided no one else leaves

Painter
Darling
Anderson
Allen
5th starter? Gardner (small ball) Novakovich? Carr as a freshman?

I like Novakovich's game and excited for Carr but IMO, MI needs to get a big who can play.

I agree a following move has to be made. The front court room was small before this. Imagine if we had both Horton and Mutts still here. Can’t ever be too settled as a fan of a Mid Major

A month ago he wasn’t a grad transfer; now he is. So it’s late but not exactly like Horton.

Yes, UD grades posted today I believe. Seems like he certainly had this planned. I wonder if he made the staff aware of his intentions.

Wow, this is a real tough one for the squad. We sure can't get a break on these moves the last few years

This one is tough for me to swallow. The kid made great progress during the season and he became a real force down the stretch.

I feel really bad for the coaches who invested so much time to help and develop this kid. Heartbreaking.

Tough one indeed. It will be interesting to see where he lands. I thought things were lining up well for him to be part of something really special here next year so it’s definitely puzzling on the surface. Maybe it’s more than a basketball decision.

Wow...this is a stunner. But as others have said, I suppose nothing should surprise us with today's "me now" generation. We take this kid on, invest a year of training and development in him while he's sitting out, give him significant playing time this past season, and this is how he repays the program??? Someone is giving this kid horrible advice. Oh well, "Dr." Carr just had his role significantly elevated...

Wow... talk about a stunner. Best of luck to Mutts. Hope he finds whatever he’s looking for.

Obviously this wasn’t the right fit and he sees a better opportunity elsewhere, but I just don’t get it. He has been with the guys for two years. They have a great opportunity to win the conference title and play in the NCAA tourney. He seemed to always be having fun when he played. Looked like he enjoyed playing with his teammates. But we only watch the games, obviously there are many more factors. If it was the right fit for him, he wouldn’t be leaving. Have to respect his decision. I just always hope that it’s ultimately the kids making the decisions for themselves in situations like these.

What a tough loss. He was going to be huge this year. My guess is he would’ve played more minutes than any of our forwards (another reason this baffles me). Now we’ll need a young guy to step up.

UGH. I was so excited to watch that experienced starting five play.
