Hen's tied 5-5 with 1:00 remaining in the 1st half vs winless SBU. Herbert looks to have lost his confidence or something. Some of these shots looked like softies at least on the video feed. Anton was an impressive spark last week prior to his injury, hopefully he isn't out too long. This young crop of GKs could use some competition.

Yeah I'm thinking there are a ton of injuries. We're playing mostly freshmen and sophomores. The lineup is pretty inconsistent week to week, and no one moves in front of the goal. Makes it pretty easy to defend us.

The pain continues- 13-5 vs. Hofstra. Anyone see the game and can comment?

Anyone know of a link for the Towson game going on right now? I'm listening online for free, but they only have a 1 month option for $11.

You can get live stats using the link on bluehens.com. Boys are headed for a loss: 13-8 with 2 min left. Shill's teams always improve as the year goes on but with two conference losses, this team has its back against the wall to make the CAA playoffs. Anyone know what's going on this year: injuries? youth? The start was promising with the win over Bucknell and the close loss to Hopkins.

Drexel looked bad but we were worse. Our unsettled offense is good, but the offensive sets are really easy to defend, because we just throw it around the outside until a turnover. Oh well, this year is pretty much in the books but hopefully the young guys can get some much needed experience at this level. They need to learn to penetrate and make runs toward the crease. There is no movement on the O.

Agree. It looks like closing time as far as CAA playoffs are concerned. But this team has a lot of young talent who will continue to grow. Its just hard to go from the disappointment in football to mbball to mlax.

Another good game by Anton in the cage. He needs to remain the starter even when Herbert is back, IMO. It was also nice to see the newbie Mike Cobb get some action. He's not even on the roster, and was wearing #12 jersey, but according to the article on Bluehens.com he is the GK for the UD club lacrosse team and moved over to varsity because of injuries. The team seemed really happy for him to record some saves.

I can't really see us making the CAA playoffs this year, but we return a ton of talent next year.

Playoff chances over with loss to PSU. Great season ending opportunity to beat undefeated and top ranked UMass at home, next week. Would be payback for the playing killing loss to them in football.

Thought we would p;lay UMass closer- not withstanding their #1 ranking. I just thought we would play a conference game closer and the home factor would work in our favor. I guess UMAss was motivated to keep the ranking and finish the reg season undefeated. Might have also been a revenge factor given that our past tow conference titles. Season seemed to start so well and then went in the tank. Like everything else this year in Henland- disappointing.

DChen:

I agree, it really was a disappointing year in Mens Lax. Early on I saw a lot of needless sloppy turnovers but I thought they improved. The attack and middie play seemed to lack penetration to the crease and the round the horn passing lacked imagination. Clearing left few opportunities in transition and seemed challenged at times.

On the bright side, they have a good core returning next year. With a little more development and some imagination on offense next year should bode much better. Curtis Dickson was a super player, but they need someone who drives to the crease like him, BADLY.
