Often sat next to “Big Daddy” in the press box over the past several years and told him how much I enjoyed the work he used to do as “color” commentator for UD games when WDEL carried them. When I asked if he missed it, he said: “Yeah, like you wouldn’t believe.” But, anyway, congratulations to him and best of luck in retirement! I hope he somehow gets to spend some time in the new press box after all the years in the old one.
