A few comments.
1. Zubillaga is a redshirt freshman walk on who looked pretty good and had an interception
2. Kitchen and Covatto are not yet participating, only in sweats
3. Brian Dennis, local kid from Concord HS, also looked good. Good speed and coverage skills, alittle undersized but he brings it.
4. Colby dropped two ints on two consecutive plays and Coach Simtin was jokingly all over him.

Great info and much appreciated MP

I had this vision of Nichols being kind of a raw boned mobile Linebacker type, But sometimes visions are just that .....But I was a little surprised to hear he was up on the defensive End

I Always thought Plack would be a good player for us So good to hear he’s out there

Any Poindexter sightings?

I have good eyes but couldn’t really Make much out from the construction WebCam view.

Thanks for the information MPW. I had the same thoughts on Lynch too. It’s good to hear his name being in the mix. I had high hopes for him when he signed with us. Good to hear Hemingway mentioned as well on the second team. I was surprised to see Buchanan bumped outside and Reeder inside. I thought it would be reversed. I was expecting to see Nickles at OLB. I think he will provide a good outside rush either at LB or DE. He appeared to be pretty quick last year. Any information on Matt Palmer? I think he had a scholarship to West Virginia but I haven’t heard much about him. Who was starting at TE?

The offense on the GOHens depth chart is fairly accurate as of this week. . 44- Kehoe is the answer @ TE.

After two practices, the situation is still fairly fluid. It appears that players are being tried in various positions. More to come as they implement 4-3.

I usually don't comment on practice this early especially since MPW and Hensone have done such a good job early on of picking out the highlights but I'll make an exception this time because a few things jumped out at me that caused some cautious optimism. It has been mentioned before but bears repeating, the biggest difference in this team at least offensively may very well be the addition of Ambrose as OFF Coordinator. I say this because although it is only the 2nd practice the players have picked up his changes to schemes rapidly, and he is coaching them up immediately if they deviate from his directions. I know it is way early but some long needed changes are already becoming apparent such as utilizing the backs in the passing game and involving the TE's more. Play is being sped up and everybody is getting a shot at performing in rapid rotation.
As usual during spring practice a lot of experimentation of position switches is going on but it seems to be more intense so far. The biggest changes seem to be on trying out defensive players to WR, one case in point that was impressive to me was trying #35 Matt Cluley and to me the kid was impressive, making nice cuts, getting some separation and catching everything thrown in his direction. When they ran a few 7 on 7's one of the standout blockers was TE #81 Bryce De Maille who was completely controlling his man and taking them to the ground on several occasions.

We could definitely use some help at RB but right now the 2 starters are working hard and showing improvement, Lee is Lee but looks even quicker than last year but we need to get him outside to utilize that speed.Robinson was impressive on several runs not only up the middle but also demonstrated some nice moves and burst of speed down the sideline, the QB situation looks like a real battle for #1and2 and way too early
to even venture a guess but Kehoe looks more mobile and shows command , Henderson is quick afoot and has a rifle for an arm, probable the most accurate both on the run and out of the pocket. Paoletti has quick feet and a strong arm and looks promising for the future but a little raw right now. The punting game is in good hands with Pritchard back to booming kicks with good hang time.

Want to thank you guys for the info on practice. Good information. Loved hearing the offensive play changes we sorely needed them.

Good seeing Mark (MP) and the famous Henduster at practice yesterday. Be advised its a little harder making your way back to the practice fields with all the construction and barricades. It was also a little hard seeing Stadium Sections C & D virtually gone. A couple of other notes to go with Mark's excellent summary.

* I actually noticed TWO groups of Offensive Line 1's yesterday. One with Farinella at Center again and one where he slid over to OG and Gilmore at Center. Looked like this:

- Kroll, Lutz, Gilmore (OC), Farinella, Ezeuzoh. &
- Kroll, Lutz, Farinella (OC), Ezezoh, Lynch

* I thought that Kehoe and Henderson both threw the ball really well in drills.
* I don't like seeing Riah Burton at WR!! I think he is going to be a better SAF (IMO) so I am hoping this is just a experiment
* Brian Dennis (DB) from Concord really looked good at CB making a number of nice plays and knock downs as may have been mentioned.
* Owen Tyler (TE) catching everything thrown to him
* Joe Walker was at practice
* The kid from Penn State (#7 Darien) is an extremely good looking athlete, fluid and quick playing at LB.
* Colby moving around pretty well. I like the R-FR LB Trainer alot.
* Caribbean Hens favorite Noah Plack looking like he can play on the back end.

Still early, lots of experimenting and looking forward to the results of some of the positional battles.

Regarding Riah Burton....... I believe there are several true freshman WR's that are really good and they will allow Burton to move back to defense. Lot's of experiments right now.

Saw that Delaware hosted former Rutgers DB KJ Gray at practice yesterday. Would be a real nice addition to the Hens though he does have some baggage. I am sure if he becomes a Hen our moral compass, who claims they will no longer go to games as Spruill is on the team, will disapprove.

Be cautious about RU transfers. You can get lucky from time to time like we did with Scarff but that program is so bad now that more likely than not you'll end up like SHSU and get a Dare.

I know the Giants are not the model of how to win football games at this very moment but I still think that if you control the LOS on both sides of the ball and you don't turn the ball over you can win most games. Our OL and DL were the weaker parts of our team last year. By all accounts, they seem to be the strengths heading in, if that remains the case I like our chances. We need Special teams to be special and our QB to not turn the ball over and maybe we have something here as the play calling (on both sides of the ball...Cosh had WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much talent to not have had one of UD's all-time great defenses the last two years and they were not) just was not good.

Gray would be a stretch considering his rap sheet. He played some exceptional football for Rutgers. Will be interesting .
