Lots of holes to fill. Lots of questions to answer, with a difficult schedule to deal with. Plenty of opportunities for young players to earn time and starting spots.

I like these two moves....... Ezeuzoh to play RT gives us a very solid and experienced OL. And Riah Burton to compete as a WR helps in a position of need. He is a nice addition.

Robert Nachtman doesn't show up on the GoHens depth chart. Why? Thought he was the projected starter.

For those who saw him in HS, what are your thoughts on him as a WR. It is a position of need. I know many don't share that opinion but looking at our roster we basically have Coleman, a potentially very good slot receiver, but not a long ball guy. Beyond that we have a bunch of guys who have yet to prove anything. We have good recruits coming into the position but again it's a lot to ask of an 18 year old...and how many of our 2-3 star recruits were either slow to develop or did not make it at all?

This team is a big question mark. If we can fill in a few holes I could see 7 wins. I love that we are playing 12 games especially if we are playing an FBS school. I think it gives us a real chance to get that 7th win and get in the playoffs. I could also see us as 4-5 win team.

We lost A LOT and I'm worried about the defense. We've been recruiting players to play a 3-4 for the last two years and now we're back to a 4-3? Last year we lack a NT and balls when it came to blitzing.

Burton is a very good athlete who could probably be a good WR but I personally thought his best impact position in HS was at Safety. His HS Coach also thought that a couple of years ago but maybe the Spring is an experiment which that time of the year can be. As a new player I was hoping he'd immerse himself on the defensive side of the ball. Will be interesting.

Every team has holes to fill every year, IMO, we have been adding depth and there are players ready to step up. I am looking forward to watching that develop.

HZN has a problem with that FACT. Every year he experiences panic attacks looking for Flacco & Patrick to show up. Improvement and player development are a huge part of all the FCS teams ( well maybe not Sammy) .

I see the key to this year is to remain major injury free while the young team matures into a good team .

Ok. But there are A LOT of holes this year. I am not going to do an in-depth analysis of previous rosters, but there were a lot of seniors last year. That is a FACT.

Depth and development are good things, but the end result needs to be winning. So how many wins does that all equate to and how deep is the playoff run in Rocco's third year? That's what this is about, or should be.

I'm a big Henderson fan...I just want him to have weapons around him. We squandered (and I know I will get killed for that but it's the truth) the best crop of skill players we've had since I started watching UD football. I know it was only a sample size but he looks like the real deal. The OL looks good. Getting Farinella back along with Robinson and moving Ezeuzoh playing RT is going to help our running game immensely as is Henderson's threat to run. We need guys who can get separation quickly so every throw isn't contested and who can make plays once the ball is in their hands. I'd like to see Lee on the field as much as possible both in the run game as well as in the passing game.

You guys are right, every program has holes to fill, time will tell.

Let me be the first to suggest that, RB, Quincy Watson is going to be a big contributor this season. Freshman RB's play all the time and do very well. I am a big fan of Quincy Watson. But my favorite recruit to see extended playing time is Noelly Miller. We won't see them during spring practice but keep an eye on that pair.

Last year will remain an enigma as will the ongoing loses to Nova. If you want to enjoy this season don't worry about anything but development. Forget the BS of predetermining an acceptable record and a Danny exit date for not achieving it. We will scrape to win many of our games, and probably get hammered in a few but in November we will know if we have a winning team and an acceptable coach for the future. That's what this season is all about.
