just a thought( though not relevant to me since I'm too far away for season tickets)- I'm one of those guys who often believes that leftovers taste better than the original serving :D , but I'm happy you insiders get your choice first. You deserve it.

Just picked mine out. They have samples of the seats there, a setup to show actual leg room expected and a board showing whats already taken. I'm a second day selector and much of Sec D was already gobbled up by the Large Donors. I still got Sec D but had to go up a number of Rows higher. Barb Flemming was greeting people. Went smoothly...... most of the fans there were talking about how worried they were about the Stadium being ready for the opener. One older fan was grousing "where's all the steel!!".

It looks like they removed about 8 rows from the bottom of Sec D with the club windows and awning and about three rows from the bottom of Sec's C and E with the expanded entry ramps, so everyone got bumped up a bit I assume.

You are right about the # if rows but the person helping me indicated clearly that people got bumped up but also a good many large donors made their way into Section D that weren't there before.

You really get an appreciation for the actual size and depth of the press box from the sky view on John's link.

Besides, the press and coaches, who else has access to the box? Seems like ample room for the press that covers UD.

It would seem like a given that UD could host the men's lax semis and women's finals on a semi regular basis.

What about putting in a bid for the FCS Championship?

The crew is working today. I anticipate that this sets the stage for next Friday being a non-work day to allow out of area workers a chance to have a longer holiday with their families. We are moving along nicely. :D

Multi-media has a big amount of square footage in the new press box, which will also include areas to support lighting for concerts and other things needed for non-athletic events. And remember the visitor press box will be gone too. It will fill up fast.

Just renewed our football season tickets yesterday. Still plenty of good seats remaining- even for us “outsiders.” :D

The new press box has no wasted space. But just like the new stands it is made to be comfortable. The old press box was shoulder to shoulder... way too cramped. The way to the tiny bathroom was filled in with temporary seats and hard to get too. I don't know if there is such a thing as max capacity for a press box but we surely maxed it out. The bathroom itself was... let's just say... pretty bad. We are finally catching up with the Jones in regard to the press box.

I thought it looks like 10 rows are removed - if you look over at the East stands they go up to row PP, now the West stands only go up to FF.

Picked my seats around lunchtime yesterday. The box seats were sold out on everything between the two 30's, but the box seats at either end were probably only 1/3 sold. Sec D was probably half filled, and Sec E actually had a fair number of seats already taken. Sec C was definitely less filled and we were able to pick our 12 seats exactly where we wanted them - a couple of rows back from the railing (no one knew exactly how high that railing will be so we played it safe). Process was great, easy, and everyone was really helpful and friendly.

Sec C has a large number of seat held back for player-parent seating. Sec 105 had a large number of seats also held for the Presidents seat pool; 105 was filled the 1st day.

It’s looking pretty quiet this morning.
