Went over and looked at the Press box from the road at the entrance to the Bob.

The front of the Press box at the end is right up against the back of the West Stands. There is no gap.

The Press Box is higher and that could have caused it to look like there was a gap looking up.

Agree Ron. Did you ever see the Band march down the Atlantic City Boardwalk before the old Boardwalk bowls playing the Fight Song? Got chills.
Yes I did. I went to every Boardwalk Bowl Game. Great memories.
Do you remember the Band Director (I think his name was King) who had the band doing the quick step entering and leaving the field? That was pretty cool. I also remember the band being more involved in the action before we used so much piped in noise.
As I recall (I could be mistaken) King was the guy who got rid of the tower chimes at the beginning of the Alma Mater, nearly causing a revolt. When he left, it was brought back.

I didn't know about that but I was more interested in the quick step that the band used for a while. More recently the band runs onto the field. There was a brief period when they used the quick step when entering the field. That was pretty cool.

and they look like a disorganized mess doing it.....The impression I get is that Sarver either does not care about gameday presentation or she feels it is just too hard/too much work, to get the band to move in a neat, coordinated, and professional manner so she just says "screw it, do what you want"

Update from BOT agenda:

an update on the Whitney Athletic Center. The project
experienced some delays, primarily due to delays in receiving materials that were
located in other states where operations had been shuttered. The project timeline
has been extended as a result, and the timeline is set to complete on September
23, although plans are in place to accommodate the scheduled football game on September 19.

I note the use of the word "scheduled" game on September 19. It will be interesting to see where UD lands on having a football season much less actually having fans in the stands. Further if the UD decides to have fans in the stands at the Tub, how will that play out in terms of controlling the crowd or with regard to how they handle those who have already purchased season tickets. I'd love to see UD football this fall, but I'm not sitting in the stadium (and I purchased my ST before the spam hit the fan with Covid).

BlueHenBobby, You won't attend even if if fan numbers are restricted, seat locations are adjusted to maintain social distancing (and maybe entrance to the Stadium is by time/gate appointment), and face masks are required? The only other potential problems that I see (and they also can be surmounted with appropriate procedures) are concessions and restrooms. According to studies, the risk of covid-19 infection indoors is 19 times the risk outdoors. Given approrpriate measures, attending a UD Basketball game or any UD indoor sports would probably be much more risky than attending a FB game or any UD outdoor sports.

YOU can't possibly be serious! STH #'s are down & you think there will be a RUSH to see LIU play in Newark? Here's an idea, only allow STH & students into the stadium & there will be less than 5,000 in a 20K seat stadium!

Frankly, it's not like there are a lot of exciting opponents on the schedule, but I would probably be in the stadium if they end up playing this fall. Gotta find myself one of those UD branded masks, but I'll be there.
