Hampton tomorrow Sat., April 1st

Post by Cluck U » Fri Mar 31, 2023 3:55 pm

This is not an April Fools joke. Our Hens are playing a CAA conference game against the Hampton Pirates tomorrow at noon in the Tub.

The Tub might be an accurate name if the forecast holds...plenty of rain early. However, some forecasts are saying it will clear around noon-1pm. Regardless, it will be 70 degrees, so that isn't bad.

Hampton is 2-7 and 0-2. Our Blue Hens site give a small preview of the game.

In the meantime, Tye Kurts has been named to the Tewaaraton award watch for the top player in lacrosse.

Ryan Carty - you were a part of UD’s 2003 football championship with KC Keeler, and a part of Sammy’s 2021 Championship with KC Keeler. Bring some of that winning magic back to our Hens!

Plenty of opportunity for the reserves to get some extended playing time. Hampton Men's Lacrosse should have probably waited to join the CAA till they bring their program up to speed. It's going to get ugly early and often.

Looks as though game time will be dry. 😀👍

Yup. 11-1 at half. Ugly game.

Sun is coming out.

19-1 final.

Watched a few of those types of lopsided games in high school. Just boring domination.

Nothing we can do about scheduling it…it was a league game. Only scored 3 in the final period…could have buried them even more and had everyone pad their stats.

Kids got some exercise and enjoyed a warm, sunny second half.

On to the next game. Goal is to win the CAA auto bid and then do some damage in the playoffs.
