New Registrations Enabled

Postby HensRock on Fri Aug 17, 2018 12:08 pm

I've enabled new registrations for the site.
I've had them disabled for quite some time to eliminate all of the spammers.
If you see spam on the site, don't reply to it. Just report it using the tools available: (The Image icon above each post)

Thanks!

Hull breach!!!!! All decks!

This site looks as though the replicators have taken over the ship. Bots are everywhere!
Tubby, 1983-1993: 76-49, 2 losing seasons, 5 playoffs, 2 early first round exits, 2 quarters exits and a semifinal loss.

Keeler, 2002-2012: 86-52, 3 losing seasons, 4 playoffs, a quarters exit, 2 championship game losses, 1 national title.

Uh, me thinks that you better disable them again. We seem to be under attack.

Definitely should disable them again, I tried reporting some but there’s a ridiculous amount now.

Thank you everyone for your understanding during this time.
I should have expected this to get pretty bad and I think we are through the first wave.

Thanks to all who are simply reporting the posts using the appropriate tools. It makes it much easier for me to find them and quickly delete the posts and ban the users.
Do not post in the threads because as I am in full hack and slay mode I might accidentally ban you.
Also, please don't post other messages or start new threads talking about the spam. We all see it. It's obvious. This just creates more dead threads now talking about nothing after the spam has been deleted. So it just creates extra work.

And whatever you do, please DO NOT click on any link posted in a questionable message.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

I want to make the site accessible to new LEGITIMATE members.

Henrock...thanks for all you do to provide this site for all us BlueHen crazies to run our mouths. :D

I know you are in defend mode right now....first things first. When things calm down...will you be removing the malicious posts so someone doesn't accidently click on it can recieve a virus? I know I am real careful right now about any post I consider replying to......but mistakes happen.

I've been removing them as they arise.
Do you know of any that are hanging around?

No...there are two...one called "Is Dick back?"...and the other "Dick II"....that I guess are legit....but I guess I am just a bit gun shy at this point.

A large part of the problem is that people view these things. If people did not view them the idiots who create them will go elsewhere

You can't report them as spam unless you do view them. Just don't click any links within.

I think it’s time to disable registrations for now. They’ve been open for awhile and the bot spam has been making the website inaccessible.
