Is there an APR playoff? Did they re-instate the old quiz show, 'College Bowl'?

But I heard we lost a kid to Villanova because of UD's low APR years ago under a football coach that didn't care enough about academics. And that recently fired MBB coach ...... Wasn't UD about to be penalized because of poor APR's? Too bad the term FAKE NEWS wasn't around then. :D

Now, Fog.....

The APR. (Annual Prong Report) is a legitimate student-athlete confirmation. UD DOES promote itself as an academic institution of excellence once in a while.

By the way, Clemson beat Alabama.
JMU beat Sham Houston.
Hell, Del State beat the KCers in book learnin'.

Actually, a football team quiz bowl would be a pretty interesting ESPN event.

I'll take Northwestern over Stanford in the finals.
I'd wager if UD did not make the playoffs, there would be a few Trustees and donors raising questions....as they should.
PS... They wouldn't make the playoffs...not even close.

I think the 'student-athlete's' major should be included in any scholastic measurement or achievement to make it credible.
As long as UD'S athletes are within the APR achievement criteria, what difference does it make?
You're not going to be a championship quality type team without taking a 'chance' on some student-athletes. We've had quite a few stars in the past who were not exactly MENSA members. Some might've qualified for DENSA. I don't care as long as we compete within the given academic parameters. 8)

Fog

Do you mean minimal is good ?

Great slogan.

Hooray for Cs !!!!

(I do agree with your academic major reference. Amazing how many criminal justice, communication, and sports management majors fill rosters at some schools)

I was thinking the same, Joe C.

I think the NCAA bowling championships actually had more viewers than the Frisco FCS contest.

Instead of NFL scouts, the Brain Bowl would be scouted by IBM, Apple, Boeing, Ford, and the CIA.
