KEELER @ AFC CHAMP GAME + SUPER BOWL

Postby WestCoastHen on Mon Jan 21, 2013 2:12 pm

Rumors are that KC KEELER was Joe Flaccos guest at the AFC Championship game yesterday and he will be going to the Super Bowl in 2 weeks. I sure hope Flacco comes back to UD to continue to visit. Hey at least KC can enjoy his time off by hanging with his former hen players on the ravens. Hope your enjoying it coach Keeler. BTW I am fully supporting coach Brock and his new staff. I think he will do great things.

said it before so I'll say it again, getting fired was not only a good thing for UD but I think KC will eventually (if not already) see it as a thing that worked out for him as well

win win for both UD and KC

Good for him.

You know this year is the 10th anniversary of the 2003 NC team, does anyone know if they plan to honor them?

Hard to believe it's been 10 years, isn't it?

I'm pleased to hear KCK has the opportunity to enjoy himself a bit. Probably not a bad idea for him to take a year off and and take some time to find himself a nice job. I doubt he planned on things ending this way, but I agree with Carib that it will probably end up being a blessing in disguise for him.

He could definitely get back into coaching, or he probably has some nice connections to serve as a talent scout at the NFL level.

No way. You've seen the posts here from multiple experts that KC was not liked by his players so you are obviously mistaken.

Pops interview? Had to be faked...as any Hen fan would know.

Please stop coming on here with such things.

Where do people come up with this stuff?

Just another example of an unsubstantiated story that gets put up on a thread and the next thing you know, everyone repeats the falsehood to someone else and away it goes.

The internet at its best (or is it it’s worst)!

I agree. Sort of in line with "It doesn't matter if you liked KC or not because it's obvious his firing was PERSONAL." Or my own personal favorite, "Keeler pissed someone off up campus and got wacked. Z-daddy may have pulled the trigger but our illustrious President called for the hit."

So, you know this 'rumor' not to be true! What do you care. I understand that players get ticket allotments to share with friends / guests. I would not be surprised at all if Joe extended a couple of tickets to KC for the AFCCG and the SB. I think it would be very appropriate and a great gesture to maybe perk KC up some after his dismissal.

Therein lies the concern – you “would not be surprised at all” but in reality, you don’t know!

Just like so many things that are speculated about without the actual knowledge of what takes place.

The problem is that people that read stuff like this are in positions to influence the outcome of peoples lives - and do so based on misinformation - like a stupid president that fires a head coach and effects not just his life but everyone on a coaching staff.

+1. Give it a rest guys. If Joe has free tickets it is possible, nay likely that after getting family sorted that he would invite KCK the guy who ave him the chane that the most overrated coach in all football wouldn't. He agent probably already had one so he didn't need to worry about that angle. what is the big deal?
