Cluck U wrote: Honest question...does anyone expect a player, after KC specifically told the team to support the new coach, to say anything that represents a challenge to the new coach? How many positive things have Rutgers current players said about Brock? Ooops...I hate when logic gets pulled!
And seriously, counting a Devlin (hey, a pro said something good) quote about Brock as a reference? Are you kidding? WTF would Devlin know about Brock? At least Pops had some experience with KC (and it sounds as though he said just what Brock's pros said about him)...which is what you expect winners to say about anyone.
As far as people who worked with Brock, what else would any rational (ie. not Hoefnor) person say about one of their collaegues..."I was stupid enough to hire a stiff who sucked"?
Even when you've fired someone, and it appears Brock did not have job security at Rutgers after his experience there, you always emphasis the positive (even to the point of stretching the truth) about the person to the media to allow a graceful exit. That is business. <----Damn, that might conflict with what others believe represents "business".
This is the most ramblng post you ever posted and that is an accomplishment. I know you really liked KC Keeler. I was just stating facts not opinion. No former player came out in support of Keeler. Just look a little north to Centre County, PA and see how many players still came to the defense very loud in support of the fallen coach named Paterno under a cloud of tragedy. When Mike Leach got fired at Texas Tech becuase of Craig James' brat son...support came out by buckets. Not even one former player even anonymously came out to disagree with Keeler's firing.....not a dam one. That says alot. Not ripping Keeler so dont get all puffed up....just stating a very curious observation. Keeler could not afford to have so many losing seasons while still maintaining a Belichick-like attitude. Its was a recipe for demise which happened. As for the other quotes, they dont mean a dam thing. All football coaches are always goin to kiss each others **** because they dnt want to burn any bridges in their next job search.
