First Impression

Postby deweyhen on Fri Jan 18, 2013 10:03 pm

I am told our new coach has a huge hit with the leadership counsel and then the team this afternoon. He won them over today. He spoke in the present term of OUR team not MY team and referenced the fact WE are built to win now. I understand he was also very respectful and complimentry of KC. I know it's early but this is our guy and he deserves our support.

The coaching staff is not set yet by any means I I am told there will be ties to the past and history will play into it. We are not wiping the slate clean. Keep the faith. See you in Frisco in 2014!!!!!!!!!

I was not thrilled by the choice but everything I have seen and heard in the last 24 hours indicates Brock may be a great selection. The people he surrounds himself with will be very telling. My first impression was extremely positive.

As a Penn State fan as well as Delaware I've definitely learned to give some time to new hires. Maybe he isn't the right guy but I'm willing to give a guy a chance even if he hasn't been a HC.

As fans, we certainly have a choice as to whether to be supportive, don't we? I hope that you are not suggesting that fans should have a choice /vote in whom to hire!

By no means am I suggesting we should have any voice in the hireing process. What I'm trying to say is that he is here now. That's not going to change. It would be counter productive to want UD to succeed and him fail.

Exactly. He's here now. If we support UD FB, by definition, we support Brock. I certainly supported KC, no matter what. Well, maybe until the way this past season went.

I never in my wildest thoughts of "_ _ must go", did I actually think it was going to happen.

BTW, I was one of those sceptics about KT's early Brock reports. Kudos to KT for having it right!
