Networking and hiring people you know is the way the world works. Apparently there are many on this board who do not realize that.

If KC won more games this couldn't have happened. But not making the playoffs for 4 of 5 years, with all the advantages UD has, gave the opening.

I am not thrilled wth Brock either but I am going to give him a chance. I have no other choice but to quit and go home.

At least UD cut the ties with our small college "history" and did not hire one of our own.

I don't necessarily think that success as a coodinator translates to success as the head guy. The job is very different. John Harbaugh is in his 3rd AFC title game as a head coach this week yet I don't believe he ever rose to the job of coordinator. I'm hoping that Ziady hired Brock because he sees in him the abilities needed to lead a program. I'm not thrilled with the choice as I'd rather have someone with head coaching experience but Ziady is our AD and I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I am in for Coach Brock because he will be coaching our young men. And because he is a good family man who is taking a chance to come here with that family to make a life for them the way we all do. I wish him success as the coach of young men, a husband and a father.
